First roll through this camera, also my first ever B/W roll. Shot this at Melrose Park, Emu Plains, straight into the setting Sun.

Shot as part of the downtown Tucson World Wide Photo Walk yesterday. This was an out of the way little construction site where you had to squeeze your lens between the fence to get a shot. Believe we were on Broadway when we spotted this one.
Another detail shot of the construction of one of the fence corners...again with an 8" post providing the anchor and 2 6" posts in either direction...(only one is visible in this photo). Here you can see the tension wires that are angled down to the ground, twisted and tensioned with re-bar sections and those are then secured to the top pipe.
Notice that there is an identical fence on the left side of the road and both of these extend over the far hills to the first group of trees. This is a distance of a mile....LOTS of work to do this, but it's only a small portion of the total fencing that has been done...and there is always more to do...!
The distant horizon in this photo from the High Plains of Kansas is about five miles away...

This construction site in Toronto's Corktown neighbourhood appeared to have a very small crew working today. Two to be precise. (See just below blue floors, centre right.) I can't help thinking this is at least partly due to the pandemic.
First time putting plastic toys on a cake, but the mom *really* wanted them so I factored it in to the design. You can't see it but the backhoe is conveniently digging into a spot on the side of the cake where I was about to have a fondant blowout; it created a perfect "I meant to do that!" decoration! This cake has elements of so many other construction cakes, I wouldn't even know who to credit. Everything is fondant except the truck toys, candy rocks and candy lego building blocks. Well, and the cookie crumb dirt.
