It started as a basic geodesic dome. Then I tried colour on the outside.I then thought I'd do a base - which I then realised was a decagon., So I then I drew the decagon ,then split it into ten triangles, which I was about to cut off ; but, no, I'll leave them. So then I thought, 'there's lots of lovely Maths here, so I'll print off some designs for the interior that encourage some nice Maths. Which I know is true. I'll suggest some later on.. In the meantime what Maths can 'you' see?
The construction of a new bridge deck, 22 March 2013. The renovation of P.L. Kramerbrug was started in May 2012 and is expected to be completed in the autumn of 2013.
This bridge across Amstelkanaal – which is national heritage – dates from 1921 and was designed by Piet Kramer (after whom the bridge was later named). Go here to find my other pictures of it, including a few of the renovation. This one goes with a bit more information about the bridge.
The above picture was taken from a temporary bridge for pedestrians and cyclists. In the background is Weesperzijde on the east bank of the River Amstel.
Recommended: a photostream by Dienst Infrastructuur Verkeer en Vervoer, the municipal department responsible for the renovation of the bridge. The stream consists of a large number of pictures of the operation and new ones are added regularly.

Het aanleggen van een nieuw brugdek, 22 maart 2013. De renovatie van de P.L. Kramerbrug is begonnen in mei 2012 en duurt naar verwachting tot de herfst van 2013.
Deze brug over het Amstelkanaal – rijksmonument nr. 527854 – dateert uit 1921 en is een ontwerp van Piet Kramer (naar wie hij later werd vernoemd). Klik hier om mijn andere foto’s ervan te vinden, inclusief enkele van de renovatie. Bij deze staat meer informatie over de brug.
De foto hierboven werd genomen vanaf een tijdelijke brug voor voetgangers en fietsers. Op de achtergrond de Weesperzijde op de oostelijke oever van de Amstel.
Aanbevolen: een photostream van de Dienst Infrastructuur Verkeer en Vervoer, de gemeentelijke instantie die verantwoordelijk is voor de renovatie van de brug. De stream bestaat uit een groot aantal foto’s van de operatie en er worden regelmatig nieuwe aan toegevoegd.

The city of Olean, NY decided last last year that they wanted to remove all traffic lights along North Union Street and replace the intersections with 7 roundabouts. This also calls for the narrowing of the road from 2 lanes of traffic both southbound and northbound to only one lane with parking on the side. Trees and planters are expected to be placed as a median in the street.
According to the city, the roundabouts will be more friendly to pedestrians allowing for more people to 'walk downtown Olean.' This will supposedly also improve the business in the downtown shops, but I expect the opposite to happen.
I find this to be extremely stupid and a waste of money. I suspect that most people will avoid the street because it is likely to be bottle-necked with only one lane of traffic. Most people are already doing that because of this construction and just probably just continue to do so after it is complete.

The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is a 4.692 km (2.915 mi) race circuit located in Portimão, Portugal. With a total cost of €195 million (approximately $250 million), the project includes a karting track, technology park, five-star hotel, sports complex and apartments.
Construction was finished in October 2008 and the circuit was homologated by both the FIM on 11 October 2008 and the FIA two days later.
The circuit
The circuit hosted the final round of the World Superbike Championship on 2 November, 2008. On 9 June, the track was confirmed to host a round of the 2008-09 A1 Grand Prix season. The race was set for the weekend of 12 April 2009. On 10 October 2008, the Le Mans Series announced a 1000 km night race to be held at Algarve on 2 August 2009. On 5 November 2008, the FIA GT Championship announced and 7th round of the 2009 season will be held at Algarve on 13 September 2009. A Formula One test session, with the McLaren and Honda teams participating, was scheduled for 15-17 December 2008. Ferrari has also ran at Algarve. Toyota also tested at the circuit on 20 January 2009 in the first outing of their new TF109 chassis. The circuit will also host the final round of the 2009 GP2 Series season in September 2009. From 2010 it will host a round of the FIA World Touring Car Championship.
On April 4, 2009 Max Mosley stated that based on the quality of the circuit it could integrate the Formula One championship under the guise of the Portuguese Grand Prix, as long as a commercial agreement with the Formula One Management is achieved.
The circuit match old Nürburgring and Spa-Francorchamps because of its constantly undulating nature. A1 Team Portugal's driver Filipe Albuquerque observed that there are big downhill slopes and right-hand turns after the main straight. He also commented that the track is good for overtaking because the circuit looks wide. A1 Team New Zealand's driver Earl Bamber observed that there are many special turns with personality. He commented that the new circuit is a little bit dangerous like the old school circuits with a roller coaster ride. A1 Team France's driver Nicolas Prost commented that the asphalt is new and the circuit has little grip. It has been confirmed that one of the corners of the circuit was named after former World Supersport rider Craig Jones who was killed in a motorcycle crash at Brands Hatch in 2008.
