Christmas Eve Day.

Everything so perfectly placed by chance at a construction site in Merida, Mexico

Our offices are currently situated uptown at the north end of the Yonge Street subway/ metro/ underground line but a brand-new office tower is being built downtown and we will move to the new building in 2023 or 2024. Well, not so fast! The other day a construction crane at the site suffered a catastrophic failure and partially collapsed -- one arm of the crane broke and fell on top of the neighbouring building (145 Wellington Street West).

Thankfully because most people are still working from home and the crane collapse hit the roof instead of piercing into the side façade, no one was injured in the accident.

This series of photos shows how three other cranes were brought in to secure and to de-construct the damaged crane in a complicated process.
