(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ A CONSTELLATION FIXATION.. ♥
An astrologers dream. The hectic arrangement of dorsal spots on this adult Jewelled (Strophurus elderi) Gecko are reminiscent of the glowing constellations within the dark reaches of the universe. This gorgeous dude was found active at the edge of a spiky hummock grass clump in the primo mallee country in the SW corner of NSW, recently.
a Santiago Calatrava sculpture installed in the park at River Point, Chicago.
Calatrava’s intention in this sculpture is for it to simply grow from the ground. Within each figure, an internal logic of autonomy delivers lyrical forms and implies a sense of elevation and spiritual uplifting, reflecting the building’ it sits in front of’s mirrored architectural arch.
The night in Manarola is even more beautiful than sunset. We spent many hours watching the distant lights of Cinque Terre and may prove it:-). Another photo from fantastic Italy.
Thank you for all the comments and favs, my friends.

You've seen this flower before, but it's been a while (please see the first comment). This sturdy little thing of (to me) unknown ID, blooming for a very long time despite being exposed to the cold late autumn temperatures on our balcony, had been my photographic "lockdown past time" along with the weekly MM assignments which helped a lot during one of the many lockdowns, and I can't believe that this is almost four years ago – time seemed to have stopped in those years.
I photographed this humble yellow beauty from all sides, at different times of the day/evening, and with different lenses throughout a couple of weeks. At one point, I had the idea to use the spray bottle to jazz it up a little bit with "nature's jewels". The yellow bokeh balls in the background are lights in the windows of a house right across the street, and they reminded me of a stellar constellation, hence the title.
This image has been waiting on my hard drive almost forever, fully processed and ready to upload, so I don't recall any of the processing steps. Judging from the looks, I'm sure that Analog Efex was involved, but that's it ;)
Happy Sliders Sunday, Everyone!
