Constantine Rd Depot, (15/12/13).

(source wikipedia)

Constantine the Great statue and Minster, York, 12 Mar 2017

Head : Constantine CeriseDoll

Body : DollChâteau

Make-up : Koala Krash

Wig : Les Lynes

🤔 I knew as I was designing this well-preserved monument, that capturing the vivid colored marbles it once boasted would be more important than a strict adherence to scale.

👨‍🎨 That is why I took the artistic license to make the Arch of Constantine roughly 50% larger than reality; in order to use elements which capture its former polychromy!

Constantine Bay is a village and beach on the Atlantic coast of north Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated approximately three miles west of Padstow and is in the parish of St Merryn.

... in the courtyard of the Palazzo dei Conservatori.

'Portrait' view version of the adjacent photo of the surviving fragments of massive statue of Constantine the Great that are now in the Courtyard of the Palazzo dei Conservatori.

This 12 metres tall statue of the emperor seated on a throne was originally in the Basilica of Maxentius, just east of the Roman Forum. (See: flic.kr/p/2mTyKsk).

Constantine was emperor from 306 to 337. He was a pagan when he first became emperor, but converted and became the first Christian emperor. He also established Constantinopolis (Constantinople; present day Istanbul) as a second capitol of the Roman empire, reflecting the greater importance of the east in population and wealth. The statue was intended to project Constantine's status as both the leader and head of the Roman empire and as a revered figure; both 'sort of deified' and yet Christian, emperor.

And we have a Constantine! :D

I am probably going to have to redo his faceup, which is ok, since Bruce's faceup was somehow chipped when I finished, and I don't have any idea what happened, and Benedict Cumberbatch Minimee- soon to be Doctor Strange - had a serious issue that involved modding, so I have to redo the both of them too.

Why I worked like a fiend to get them done I don't know.

Anyway, Granado Hansel! A head I didn't know existed, and sold to me by the wonderful Blithe Fool <3

He's on a Dollzone body, which he does not match. At all. Like, omg it's bad XD

HI!

Today Lillycat Constantine arrived ^_^ I was very happy to order he in this color, because I love such dark chocolate skin. She is lovely even naked and I love to put her sitting in my hand *_*

When I placed my tiny bjd near her I realized that she maybe will have close head size to tiny doll and tried my first "test" wig on her (which a made a year ago and it just lying on shelf).

I wills how you asap she will get faceup and wig.. and I hope cloth too ^^

Cream and chocolate Constantines -so love the chocolate color!

This photo shoot went totally wrong :(, bad light... But I hope You can enjoy these bohemian feelings anyway :)

I usually only take photos of one doll at a time, so it was quite difficult for me to concentrate on two dolls at the same time. Somebody once asked me to do a group shot of all my BJD dolls... hmmm... I don't think I have the nerves to do that ;)
