Constantine gained the throne as the third husband of Empress Zoe, daughter of Emperor Constantine VIII.

There is constant foot traffic on the bridge overlooking a chasm separating parts of the scenic city of Constantine, Algeria.

 

This image, shot from a Yashica ELECTRO 35CC, came from an old 35mm negative scanned by an HP Scanjet G4050 and multiple Photoshop operations.

Constantine's arch, very close to the Colosseum.

Erected to commemorate Constantine I's victory over Maxentius at the Battle of Milvian Bridge on October 28, 312. Dedicated in 315, it is the latest of the existing triumphal arches in Rome.

Constantine was proclaimed Emperor in York in AD306. He was the first Christian Roman Emperor and made Christianity an acceptable religion of the Roman Empire.

After leaving the port of Antwerp, the vessel is seen here sailing downstream the river Schelde on its way out to sea. The CNAN Nord operated vessel will first call on the Portuguese port of Leixoes before proceeding to the Agerian port of Oran where it arrived on September 2nd 2016

Craggy-faced Eddie Constantine (1917 - 1993) was an American actor and singer who spent his career as a tough guy in European films. He became famous for a series of French B movies in which he played private eye Lemmy Caution, based on the hero of the detective novels by Peter Cheyney.
