Yet another consignment of coal arrives for tipping onto the conveyors for washing and grading at RMU Banovici's Oskova washery during the busy evening of 24th February 2015, as 760mm gauge Czech (ČKD 1949-built) industrial 0-6-0 tank No.25-30 rattles down the grade into the tipping shed, with the wagon discharge team, overseen by management, standing by and ready to swing back into action following a brief break.

From a few years ago at my favorite consignment shop. The woman who owns the shop recognized me immediately from a few months before which made me feel very welcome! We had such a ball trying on things and playing dress up. I tried on 2 short dresses, a long ball gown, 2 skirt & blouse outfits, and a vintage nightie. I ended up buying one of the blouses and the vintage nightie and she threw in for free one of the skirts I tried on that she thought looked perfect on me! Yay! She said I won the prize as her cutest shopper of the day!
My 1st find for March 2013. Theres a kids consignment sale that happens twice a year. I went in today hoping to find Jem,Spice Girls and Monster High. But they had a lot of Disney stuff and this singing Ariel for $7. She doesn't sing fully though. I may ooak her but Idk yet. I have to many ideas for her.

I went consignment store shopping which is always fun. I like those stores because you can find really unusual and nice things you don't see in regular retail shops. I had tried on some dresses in this one shop and nothing really tickled my fancy enough to buy, but 2 of the dresses were pink so the lovely lady who owned the shop noticed and asked if pink was my favorite color. I said it is yet I don't really have too many dresses in pink for some reason. She said to wait a minute and that someone had brought in some dresses the day before and one of them was a pink prom dress. She came back with this pink Tiffany prom dress so I tried it on and it fit me very nicely. There was no price tag on it and she said it had just come in and didn't price it yet. She looked up what the woman wanted for it which was too much in both of our opinions. She had the number of the woman who had brought it in for resale so she called her up and said she had someone interested in it and asked if she would consider less for it. She let me talk to the woman on the phone and she told me it was her daughters prom dress and was expensive new and in good condition. I tried to barter with her for less money but was pretty firm. After we hung up with her the woman from the store explained that people tend to ask to much for sentimental clothing pieces and usually she puts it out for the requested price but after it is out in the store for a week or two they agree to lower the price to sell it. So I gave the woman my information and she promised to call me if the consignee lowered the price at all which she was pretty sure would happen. It was a dream to try on and wear for a few minutes and I am hoping that the price does come down a little bit!

Sometimes I am long winded as I want you to feel the experiences I am having and enjoy them as much as I did. Forgive me. I had gone shopping to this very upscale consignment shop for the first time. I was greeted by the woman owner and her assistant warmly and started looking through the racks of clothes which was plentiful. As I was browsing two other women came into the shop and were obviously friends with the owner and started talking with her, not really shopping. A short while later two more women came in to shop as well. After a while I found the dress on the left, the blue Roberto Cavalli dress and asked if I could try it on. The assistant took the dress from me and I followed her to the dressing rooms. She was nice and asked my name and where I lived and when we arrived she said "Lisa you have good taste, this dress si really cute!" I told I hope it fits well and went in with the dress. When I had it on I opened the curtain so I could take this mirror selfie and was happy how it looked. The assistant was there in a flash and told me to come out and told me it looks really nice on me, fits perfect without any alterations needed! So I am in this dress and she tells me to come out into the shop and kind of announces to the other women there how pretty the dress was and they agreed even the women shopping! It was heaven! So now I am in this dress and looking at other racks of dresses with the assistant and she pulls out the other dress on the right. She states " Ooooh look at this one, it's so you Lisa! And it's a Versace silk print!" So we go back to the dressing room for me to try it on, this time she waited there and we chatted as I changed dresses and have to tell you at this point I was feeling so genuinely feminine. Not like a Tgirl trying on dresses but just like a female (as best as I could imagine it feels like)! After getting the Versace dress on she escorts me back out to the shop and the women looked at me in it and the owner exclaimed "Lisa you are beautiful !" Wow I was walking on air and kept the dress on while standing there talking and getting to know her and her friends that were hanging with her ( and let me say they were all very fashionable women)! When one of her friends asked if I am going to get both dresses as they look great on me, I said I have to think about it and the owner said take my time, look around more. I did look around some more as they had everything from dresses to cruise wear to casual country club fashions, purses, shoes, and jewelry! Eventually I went back to the dressing room and changed back to my clothes and girlishly brought up to the register the one dress that I did purchase ! Can you guess which one it was? Anyways the shopping experience at the store was so fun and it was nice to meet the women there and promised I would come back soon and I did!

Consignment shop window. Modified in Photoshop. Whatever the artist who originally made these sculptures intended, they convey to me a sense of implacable disappointment The one one the right reminds me of Easter Island.
postscript: 8 Sept 2010 i went to the consignment shop today to see if Mr. Easter Island was still available.........he WASN'T !!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt unmitigated and IMPLACABLE DISAPPOINTMENT !!!!! Argh !

Another consignment of imported iron ore in the care of Cardiff Canton's 60035 'Florence Nightingale' was recorded approaching its destination at Llanwern. The 7B52 from Port Talbot Docks was one of series of regular Trainload Metals' workings to be seen on the South Wales main line.

Another consignment of coal from the opencast pit has been successfully tipped at the Oskova Washery and ČKD 0-6-0 tank 25-30 scurries back up the grade to the reception sidings, passing through the discharge shed in the process. RMU Banovici on a misty 23 February 2015.
