Love conquers Hate...that is the main theme in Romeo and Juliet. At the end of this tragedy, we see that a feud that lasted centuries has actually been conquered by the love they share for each other. Their souls are joined for eternity...in the name of love.

This was our last day of our Honeymoon and we spent it touring the Colosseum. When we arrived, the sun was exploding behind the arches. Before too long, the clouds had rolled in and began to rain all over. We had a fabulous time. Now we're back... reality is stark, let me tell you!

About: The Colosseum, or the Coliseum, originally the Flavian Amphitheatre (Latin: Amphitheatrum Flavium, Italian Anfiteatro Flavio or Colosseo), is an elliptical amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy, the largest ever built in the Roman Empire, built of concrete and stone. It is considered one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and Roman engineering. Construction started in 72 AD under the emperor Vespasian and was completed in 80 AD under Titus.

50009 Plymouth to Paddington relief Friday 8th July 1983.

taken by a family friend, photographer, Milan. He introduced me to photography by showing me his makeshift communist photography workshop in his bathroom, conquered, undoubtedly,, by the everlasting curiosity and all-convincing tenacity of the wood rat that i am. Also, notice the gangsta rapper blossom that was to take over my persona in my high-school years. :D

The number of waves I've crested during my 25 year career as a mariner and Coast Guardsman are innumerable.

50009 "Conqueror" seen through the station awnings at Torquay with the 0940 Newton Abbot to Paignton on 4th June 1987.

The train was presumably a stock-positioning move for a London service although I had to leap after 6 miles at Torquay for 47432 back to Exeter for the main attraction of the day - 50049 on the 1125 Exeter to Portsmouth, with the same loco back out from the south coast into Waterloo.

"Conqueror" was withdrawn 4 years later in January 1991, being scrapped at Old Oak Common in March of the same year.

Monument to the Conquerors of Space. Second highest among the monuments of the USSR/Russia. A 107-meter obelisk in the form of a rocket plume, with the supply of designer Sergei Korolev, lined with polished titanium plates. As well as many things made in the USSR, this rocket takes off high is a unique engineering design. Its authors are sculptor Andrey Faydysh-Krandievsky, architects Mikhail Barshch and Alexander Kolchin, as well as engineer Lev Shchipakin.

The White Tower is a central tower, the old keep, at the Tower of London in Tower Hamlets, London, England. It was built by William the Conqueror during the early 1080s, and subsequently extended.

Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress, known as the Tower of London, is a historic castle located on the north bank of the River Thames in central London. It lies within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, separated from the eastern edge of the square mile of the City of London by the open space known as Tower Hill. It was founded towards the end of 1066 as part of the Norman Conquest of England. The White Tower, which gives the entire castle its name, was built by William the Conqueror in 1078, and was a resented symbol of oppression, inflicted upon London by the new ruling elite. The castle was used as a prison from 1100 (Ranulf Flambard) until 1952 (Kray twins), although that was not its primary purpose. A grand palace early in its history, it served as a royal residence. As a whole, the Tower is a complex of several buildings set within two concentric rings of defensive walls and a moat. There were several phases of expansion, mainly under Kings Richard the Lionheart, Henry III, and Edward I in the 12th and 13th centuries. The general layout established by the late 13th century remains despite later activity on the site.

Having conquered the Cullerin ranges, the quintet consisting of 48s35, 4911, 4904, 4917 and C510 head downhill towards the Breadalbane planes on dusk with an extraordinarily late 3248 to Maldon.

Overnight, the train failed at the top of the hill at Galong. Unable to lift the load, locomotives off Qube Logistics 3112 assisted the train back into Harden, where it was then stabled. The culprit, RL304 went light engine to Junee with 4908 to be repaired, whilst two extra 49 classes were put in its place and C510, which was originally leading, was made the 5th unit owing to drawgear requirements.

Oh my! After reading Rand’s narrative for today’s challenge really got to me!! Such a touching narrative that made me believe that much love is needed ~ “feels like the end, when your closer to losing your dreams!”

That little quote takes me back to younger years when listening to Deep Purple, OMG!!

Warwick castle is inextricably entwined with the national history of England. The oldest parts of the castle that we see today at Warwick are medieval. However, there has been a strategically important fortress on this site since 1068, with the first wooden castle having been constructed by William the Conqueror.

This historic and influential fortification is itself situated in an equally important and strategic landscape.

Blue icicles appear all around a pair of unknown ice climbers enjoying the Ice Park in Ouray, Colorado. These two were so much fun to watch! As a non-ice-climber myself, I can really appreciate the heights and severe angles they were working with.
