October 8th, 2011. Conquered the mountain!

I felt like we were supposed to climb up Stone Mountain this morning, so we loaded up and walked up it. Thomas was in the kid-carrying backpack, and had a great time... until we hit the 15 mph winds on the top... it was a work of extreme effort to get him to look at the camera for this photo.

Me freakin out at the top of the peak.

Today I conquered my fear and revisited where I fell a year ago today. I went alone and took the same walk I took last year, but without any mishaps.

I made it to the end of the walk. This was actually very emotional for me. I hadn't realised how much fear I had of returning, or of people walking dogs, on lead or off. I'm so glad I took up my own challenge. It's such a beautiful place to get fresh air and a bit of exercise.
