Today's shot takes us to Disney's Animal Kingdom For a shot of Expedition Everest. I've seen this shot done a few times, so I decided to try it myself. It's amazing what you can see from up there. In the distance you have the Disney Studios, Epcot, The Swan and Dolphin and the Contemporary. Have you ever taken any photos from the top of Everest? Have a magical day!

Looking north along the Tamiami Trail (Route 41) into Charlotte County. Beyond the Prairie land. In the distance, on the left is the great Charlotte County Landfill. It has been know to create small dust storms and a smell worse than death. It is home to vast quantities of buzzards. To the right of the highway and beyond the prairie is a surface mining operation which digs vast areas for the ultimate goal of creating concrete. Leaving behind holes that eventually fill with water, an odd colored water rich in nutrients and not the good kind.

my guy riding up the mighty mount washington in the "world's worst weather"

"and so she will rise from the water

with power laced in her breath

but mercy in her heart that doesn't beat

because she's something from the earth

a creature with no name

and only one general care

the purity of our eyes

and the love in our veins

and how our actions affect

today tomorrow and yesterday

because she's more than present

she's past and future

with all the strength she holds

she's lacking no virtues."

The Poppies: Wave an exhibition of ceramic poppies by Paul Cummins and designed by Tom Piper, the exhibition drew 500,000 visitors to Lincoln Castle a Grade I Listed Building constructed by William the Conqueror in the 11th Century. In Lincoln, Lincolnshire.

The full installation, named Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red, drew more than five million visitors to the Tower of London in 2014. Each poppy represented one death in the British forces, a total of 888,246.

Other sections of the poppy display - known as the cascade, or Weeping Window - were on display at Black Watch Castle and Museum, in Perth and at Caernarfon Castle in Wales.

A total of £9m was raised for six military service charities after most of the poppies, which were handmade in Derby, were sold to members of the public for £25 each. The poppies installations have been organised by 14-18 NOW, the organisation behind the arts and culture programme for the UK's official World War One centenary celebrations.

It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.

Another bucket list item bites the dust.

do not leat fear conquer you, make it the other way around.

I took the day off and we went on a hike in Lost Dutchman State Park in Apache Junction, AZ, just east of Phoenix. Such cowboy country. The light was crap in this shot, but I didn't have a lot of choice given the position of the sun and position of the scenery. Not to mention, Jasper was not much in the mood for posing today. He just wanted to get on down the trail.

This is the main track to Mount Kosciuszko just before it hits Rawsons pass. In summer with Thredbo top chairlift only 6.5kms away it can be packed. In winter in perfect weather we saw 5 other people all day.

That was a joke. I spent my 20s and early 30s climbing in the Tetons and Yosemite, so am well aware what a real climb is. And I once summitted Popocatépetl in Mexico at 17,802 feet. This was just a hike, really.

The summit of that little hill, marked with a Flickr Note, is about 1,850 feet.

A Bar-headed goose (Anser indicus) was framed moments before the landing to join its friends on ground. It was not easy at all to capture from such a close in full frame. I had to crawl with my heavy tele in hand for 20 meters in the thorny ground camouflaged like a reptile. I gave my level best effort to get the desired. I reached their resting ground and all of a sudden all actions started as reward. They are the champion of the air indeed. They migrate across the highest peak of the World - Mount Everest. This trans-Himalayan migrant comes from Northern Europe and Mongolia to India in winter. They are really gorgeous and intelligent creatures on Earth. Pics was taken from Bharatpur, Rajasthan, India.

We made our way up on the right side of this sandstone fin and made our way down on the left side after we had reached the top. Not an easy feat.

Forest Photoshoot with Shula <3 She grew very impatient in the end, but overall, did a good job. Of course she got a lot of treats as reward :D
