She's the perfect blend of ballerina and band-aids. When she sees me she runs towards me, arms open wide to give my legs a great big hug. She makes my heart melt.

Get on board, rocket travel will get you there oh so quickly.

It's greening up outside and in. Time for pistachio citrus poundcake. I'm at my best when I'm baking.

The words, the images, the idea of creating community-- all between two beautiful covers. The possibilities and potential are endless.

The upside of leaving work late: the light and the blooms are magical. As if they had been waiting for you.

The lawn has that "Running through the Sprinkler" shimmer. The sun

sets the drops to glittering and it brings to mind swimming pools and

beaches and a cool refreshing drink just when you need it most. It is

a short season here, but we pack so much into it-- enough to last as

the whole year through.

It's amazing how he has aspects of both of us.

Inside, outside. Up, down. The circles come and go floating through the air with only a bit of magic to guide them.

Every year I spend a little time with this story of a dog. This copy was published 100 years after the original. Beautiful Joe always brings me to tears.

These photos are never easy for me. So I closed my eyes, breathed in deep and captured that moment. The breathing out came right after I made the decision to share this with all of you.

holds your friends close-- especially if they're warm and fuzzy.

Watching our children take part in their 6th grade graduation was a joyful experience.It seems like just yesterday they were crawling now they are striding into middle school. Moments like these, living in a small town feels like we are part of one big family.

The trees they shelter, the leaves rustle their comforting sounds and the

shadows provide a bit of unexpected decoration.

You never know how it's going to turn out, but watching them melt and twist and turn elicits giggles from the youngest crowd. Such Silly Art on display.

What shall we put inside it, where shall we go. I imagine some stuffed animal friends on their way to a tea party in the woods. I hope I'm invited for mudpies and tea sipped from acorn cups.

The pavement is the perfect blank canvas.
