For this week's assignment I was basically trying out different expressions of a girl, with more body in the frame, due to the majority of my photos being of Brophy males and head shots. I was having a hard time on Tuesday when I first had starting taking photos of my sister because I had a light wall behind her, and was noticeable taking in a "non-professional studio." My sister was not here on Wednesday either, so I was starting to worry about the outcome of this week. On Thursday, I finally had an opportunity to try out a lot of different places around my house to see what works best. I had first tried hanging a dark red blanket behind her, but it was noticeable in the photos as well. I than got a dark blue one, and it worked a lot better. I got an industrial light from my storage room and starting putting it at multiple angles of her to see what would work best. I mainly took vertical photos this week to put some variety in my work. I am happy with the outcome of this week, due to the unfortunate photo shoot on Tuesday. Editing consisted of adjusting levels, curves, boosting yellows, and adding the Sepia effect. These photos represent my concentration due to the multiple expressions throughout, the low key lighting, and also the Sepia effect.
