An Edwardian enamelled metal advertisement outside the Co-operative grocery store in Beamish Museum proclaims that the makers of "Sunlight" soap will give £1,000 (about £70,000 in today's money) to anyone who can prove that the soap "...contains any form of adulteration whatsoever or contains any injurious chemicals". They must have been very confident!

Adam is from England and was so enthusiastic about watching the game he prepared himself for a 4AM start. He is very patriotic as you can see! - By the way he has the whole get up; undies, hat, shirt, cup in the colours of England.
I’d had a late night the night before shooting bands so I was tucked away in bed until I heard roars, cursing, claps and boos! I woke and walked into the living room with one of his jerseys on and this red hat which Adam ended up wearing!
I captured his stages of triumph and despair. The scene with the knife was staged; just encase your worrying about his mental state!
England lost the game, Adam is shattered but I’m sure a nice hot baked dinner will mend his broken heart!
