A bust of Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh in the conference hall of Independence Palace, the onetime center of power of the South Vietnamese government. South Vietnamese President Thieu delivered his resignation speech from this room shortly before South Vietnam's takeover by communist forces in 1975.

Whilst up in Edinburgh for the day (25/04/2023) I stumbled across a display of buses at the Association of Local Bus Managers (ALBUM) Conference. ALBUM provides the opportunity to exchange best practice among its 130+ members and to influence policy for the promotion of high quality services that encourages more people to travel by bus.

The iwerk conference room, where business meetings (and the occasional game of Rock Band) are held.

おはようごさいます。 Aki en conférence hebdomadaire avec la JAXA(宇宙航空研究開発機構), Ohayo Gozaimasu ! Chacun d’entre nous participe à une réunion similaire chaque semaine avec son agence spatiale, et les gens qui sont en charge de notre mission. Pour moi c’est avec l’ESA - European Space Agency et c’est plutôt Bonjour, Guten Tag, ou Ciao en général, même si jusqu’à la fin du vol ce sera Bom dia 😉 C’est nécessaire d’avoir un espace pour approfondir quelques sujets, en plus de l’interaction quotidienne avec les équipes du centre de contrôle. Et on a régulièrement des réunions dédiées à notre santé avec nos médecins de bord.

We all have a weekly meeting with our space agencies, I have one with ESA - European Space Agency too, more like Bonjour, Gutentag, or Ciao 😉 It’s an opportunity to discuss long-term topics with people more closely in charge of the mission, on top of daily interaction with the rotating control centre teams. We also happen to have a dedicated meeting with our flight surgeons, to stay healthy!
