I received this lens in very bad condition. It wasn't easy to take him apart. I couldn't get through to the inner lens elements. There are rumors that Leitz used glue to join barrels together. I noticed a small spot on one of those inner lenses and wasn't hopeful that I could do anything with this lens. Still, I cleaned everything I could reach and reassembled the lens. Much to my surprise, the results are amazing. What fantastic sharpness. A slow lens but with the helicoid adapter, I was able to get close to 15cm. It was really worth all the effort.

This is the condition of the neck I received it in.
You cannot tell from this picture, but the head has been stripped just like the body. From pulling the truss rod cover and the tuning machines, the head was originally the same color red as the body of the guitar.
