Racine had a car show at the zoo today. When I was a kid in the 1960s the couple across the street had a white 1956 T-bird in perfect condition. My brother was heart-broken that they sold it before he was old enough to get a driver's license and buy it from them. So he bought a 1968 T-bird in the early 1970s. When I was dating my future husband he bought a 1978 T-bird that we drove for the next 15 years. So I was happy to see at least one T-bird at the car show. (Lake Michigan in the background.)

As part of the annual London Open House Weekend here are some pics of the inside of Paddock, the secret bunker underneath Dollis Hill in North London. This bunker, remaining secret until 1984 is now open 2 days a year with tours organised by Subterranea Britannica Churchill's Cabinet War Rooms met here twice in the early 1940s before deciding it was too damp and lacked toilet facilites. Can you imagine Churchill sat on a bucket?
