Founded in 1897 by art historian George Fisk Comfort (co-founder of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City), the Everson has outgrown a number of facilities. This building was designed by I. M. Pei, and was opened in 1968. Both inside and out it is regarded as a work of art in its own right.

There are not enough hours in the day. I have been quite busy these past few days and will be busy until the weekend. School, work, school, work, rinse, repeat... How fun. I have a bit of time to post a previous edit and catch up on a few photostreams. Sorry if I've missed a photo and will be getting to them on the week end. Peace Out Ya'll.

I was in the area and had my camera with me so I decided to revisit a previous shoot with the D90 and 10-20 to see what difference they would make. This is a parking exit for a building behind the Hawaii Convention Center. Luckily only one car came down and kindly avoided killing me.

HDR made from 10 exposures in photomatix. Then in CS2 I blended 1 layer to lighten up some dark areas and 2 exposures to bring more detail in some overexposed areas that the hdr couldn't do. Finished with a curves, saturation, cooling photo filter, and unsharp mask.

Yup, it's 20, I think... These are the last views of my recent spiral parking exit series. It turns out this exit likes to make numbers. So far I've got a 0, 2, and 8 from this thing. And I think if I symmetry flipped and turned around the 2 it would be a 3. But I'm not gonna waste my time on that. This presentation is a bit different from what I normally post, but I wanted to try something new.

Both photos are a minor blend of 3 exposures. The left photo is a view of the top floor and the right photo is taken from the ground looking straight up the beasts skirt.

This is one of the exterior corners of the brutalist City Hall building in Boston, Massachusetts. I wanted to capture some symmetrical detail of building, and I really liked this particular part. I really like how stark and dramatic this shot turned out.

This was a shot of Admiralty Tower in Pourtsmouth, UK near the Historic Dockyards. I took with my recently re-acquired, and now retro, Sony DSC-W17 point and shoot camera, and I was quite happy with the result.

Walking through the abandoned industrial buildings of the historic Celeyran estate, I was struck by the powerful contrast between this domain's illustrious past and its current state of decay. This is where Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec spent his youth, painting the landscapes and people of this wine estate that has roots dating back to Roman times.

I wanted to capture the melancholy beauty of these forgotten spaces - the concrete structures that once housed the wine-making operations, the numbered doors that hint at an organized industrial past, the geometric staircase leading to what was once a bustling upper level. The turquoise and green patina on the walls tells the story of time's passage, while the natural light filtering through creates an almost theatrical atmosphere.

My intention was to document this moment of transition, when historical heritage stands abandoned between past glory and an uncertain future. These industrial ruins represent not just the evolution of winemaking, but the fragility of our cultural patrimony. There's something deeply moving about photographing these spaces where centuries of agricultural tradition once thrived, now silent witnesses to the passage of time.
