Stickered as made by Huffy, but more than likely made by Carlton or Motobecane (I'm leaning toward Motobecane because of the lugs and such). Sure, it's "comparitively" heavy (not by much, really) but it rides like a champ and I'm not worried if I end up abusing it too much. Besides, once I get a red or black fork, it just *looks* cool.
1930 Packard 734 Speedster Runabout. Location: 41st Annual Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance (Oregon).
The Packard's straight-8, nine-main bearing engine, has a displacement of 385 cubic inches (6.6 litre). It has a ribbed exhaust manifold, vacuum boost pump and a hemispherical combustion chamber.
The 6.3:1 cylinder head produces 145 bhp @ 3,400 rpm (4,000 maximum RPM). Zero to sixty MPH performance is 17.5 seconds. Maximum speed is 100 MPH.
Packard built its reputation for manufacturing a superior automobile which employed the finest craftsmanship and engineering available at the time. Packard didn't actively promote this model, and only 113 cars were made.
