The July 29, 2012 Concours d'Elegance of America at St. John's in Plymouth, Michigan. This Duesenberg is from Stahl's Automotive Foundation, where I again photographed it this past January.
Concours de ferrade, a Camagri (salon du cheval camargue).
Vraiment bien placée, voir assise en plein milieu du champs (oui oui je suis encore en vie ! lol )
Malgré la bonne place cela ne m'a pas empêché de pester après l'autofocus de mon appareil... :-/
Le but du concours:
il y avait un piquet au milieu du champ et le but était de faire tomber les veaux avant.
Une petite explication sur les ferrades pour les non initiés ! x)
(Cette opération consiste à imposer aux veaux d’un an (anoubles) la marque indélébile (au fer rouge) du propriétaire. Elle a lieu sur la fin du printemps.
La ferrade a lieu en plein champ, les gardians trient le veau puis le poursuivent au grand galop pour le séparer du troupeau en le poussant vers les invités, le gardian doit alors le « tomber » d’un coup de trident
appliqué sur la hanche.
Saisi par les attrapaÏres, l’anouble sera alors « escoussuré » (entailles sur les oreilles) avant de
recevoir sur la cuisse le « Fer » de son propriétaire.)

The Concours Auto Rally is staged in Pacific Grove each August as part of Hysteric, er, Historic Car Week. About 200 cars gather on the main street for an afternoon of tire-kicking, followed by a tour of the Monterey Peninsula. The cars include sporty, elegant, historic, and modern. "Run what ya brung" is the motto. Any competition is purely for laughs.

Renzo Rivolta was one of the more ingenious entrepreneurs of the Italian postwar landscape. Mr. Rivolta was the owner of the Isothermos Refrigeration Company but after the war, he decided to follow his passion and branch off into automotive manufacturing. By the early 1960s Rivolta's interest had turned to touring cars, and he introduced the Iso Rivolta GT at the Turin Auto Salon.
In an effort to spur sales, Bizzarrini and others encouraged Rivolta to build a sports car and the engineer soon received the go-ahead to develop such an Iso on a shortened Rivolta GT chassis. The resulting Iso Grifo was introduced in two versions at Turin in November 1963, with the luxury touring A3/L (for Lusso) displayed on coachbuilder Bertone's stand, while Bizzarrini's race-prepped A3/C (for corsa) was presented on Iso's stand.
Wearing aluminium coachwork penned by Bertone's Giorgietto Giugiaro and built by Piero Drogo's Carrozzeria Sports Cars in Modena, the A3/C was a spectacular vision with aerodynamic flair. Iso utilized a 5,3 liter Chevrolet Corvette engine in all of its cars, which was tuned for racing in the A3/C. According to some historians, Bizzarrini described the A3/C as the second coming of his GTO, and a more refined one of that.
The car presented here is a "7000 rivets" and raced in Wunstorf in 1965 and finished 2nd overall at 1965 Avus GT.

Tom Mix is considered to have been the first great Western film star. He made 336 film during a career spanning from 1910 to 1935. This supercharged 1937 Cord was the last car he owned, and was the car in which he was killed in a 1940 accident in Arizona. The car has recently undergone a complete restoration.

At left is the 1931 Stutz DV 32 Convertible Victoria, American Car Best of Show winner. At right is the 1924 Isotta-Fraschini 8A Sport Cabriolet, European Car Best of Show winner. The climax of the Concours is to bring these two cars nose to nose in front of the reviewing stand.
