Una bonita mañana paseando por la orilla, buscando pechinitas, y conchas. El sol, reflejándose en el mar, y Manel, corriendo y recogiendo trofeos.
Blackbird Caye is a small island with very comfortable accommodations for scuba divers. But diving makes one hungry, and one cannot live forever underwater. Conch is available frequently, in either the dining hall or the bar. Consequently, a pile of conch shells has accumulated near the water.
Mickey found these 2 pretty close to shore so i decided a quick photo op did no harm. Of course, we put them back.
EYE OF THE CONCH The elongate tube irregularly striped with green and black on the right side is the proboscis, with its mouth at the very tip. Like all other strombs, this species grazes on algae. (Gastropoda Strombidae) Nuweiba, Gulf of Aqaba, Egypt.
This rather massive conch shell normally lives on our lounge room bookshelf. I've been meaning to photograph it for a while - I just took a few minutes out from working to take this - sometimes you've just to to photograph something.

Shot for Macro Mondays’ October 2nd theme of “Shell”.
