So my internet has been down for awhile now, not sure how long. And I just remembers that I can turn on a hot spot with my phone... whoops. I guess that could have been put up sooner. Anyway this is my shot for thins months theme "the spiral" for Concept Collab. First on the down side. It didn't go as planned. Originally I was going to make a human sided nest out of really branes. but right as I began constructing it I knew it wasn't going to work. On the bright side i was still able to follow through with my idea. Though it's not the way I had imagined it (with lots of twigs poking out here and there and being really rough) I have completed it none the less.

Sometimes you have to work past your difficulties until it work, other times you just have to drop everything and find a new solutions.

My thought was that life is a twist and at times can really suck. My friend wrote an article about immigration and how that has effected not just her and her family but everything as a whole. I hate the fact that white privilege is a thing. And at time yes society can be progressive, but right on the other hand we're not. I mean I feel like North America really tries to waltz around it's errors. All countries in fact. There are so many thing I could say right now that create a spiral of emotions for me, and I really with I had the education to fully back up my feelings. Not to say I don't understand and have no knowledge on the topic at all. I just feel like I need more to make a solidified argument.

I can say this. Life is not fair. People can suck, a lot. And I hope that one day we wont have to go through the struggle bashing opinions. WE all deserve the right to speak, the right to live freely as we so chose, and the right to our opinions, religions, cultures, and beliefs.

Some say life goes on in a circle, but I believe it progresses more like a spiral. Even may repeat, but the people who take part in them are different. With that the sequence of events will be played out differently cause the story to slowly turn.

At the end of the day I can only live for myself. And treat people the way I believe they all deserve to be treated, equally. I'll end my weird description here for tonight and I might add some more tomorrow when hopefully my internet is back up. I can really afford to go over my data limit right now so have a good week.

Suffocation and deprivation of personal space.

There are spirals all around us and when I think of this action in the natural world, I think of things like the ebb and flow of the current that changes the otherwise glassy surface of the water. I imagine a girl dancing that causes this turbulence as she glides, twists and spins across the surface.

Beautiful things happen in a moment...

Photo taken for the Concept Collaboration Project.

First image from the January Concept Collaboration! I'll be releasing all the images one day at a time, but you can see them all by reading my blog post about the event here.

The Furies inhabit justice and vengeance. Avenging crimes against the natural order by punishing the wicked and the guilty without pity as they were designed to do.

First appearing as storm clouds on the horizon, they are both the opposite and equal of the Three Graces.

Second from my three piece series re-imaging The Three Furies.

Just in time for Concept Colaboration's April theme: The Cube! I shot this picture a long time ago and always saved it until it finally inspired me. #ConceptCollab

Well this is a bit of a variation from my normal work, but I learned about this technique and decided to try it. This entire art piece is constructed from one picture of rusting metal and the tools available in photoshop.

Expect to see floating planets in a number of my upcoming works!

Not sure I like how the focal point is set here...oh well.

Sooo many mistakes man.

The spiral reminds me of movement. Movement reminds me of speed. Speed reminds me of power and power reminds me of water. I made my very first underwaterphoto's for this concept, which was very cool to do. I combined the speed of the movement of my head and hair underwater. I love the fact that the water also gives a reflection, which reminds me of a spiral again.

Sometimes life gives you oranges when what you really wanted was apples. Sometimes we find ourselves in places and positions that we do not want to be in. There is always another road that can be traveled if we grow tired of the one we are on but too often we find ourselves in fear of change, in fear of being alone, or in fear of the thought "what if I'm wrong?" Forget those ideas, drop those oranges, look to the future and grab the apples that you crave. Make the change you desire, look into the distance and head down that new path, even if you must do it barefoot! We are all entitled to take a step toward finding our next adventure!

I originally tried to shoot this image one evening up on the higher track. I set my tripod up on this ledge that gave me the perspective I wanted but it was Windy as heck. I gathered and stacked as many large rocks as I could to build a base around the bottom of the tripod but I was scared for its life every second but with wireless remote in hand I left it be there and ran around to the bridge. I spent 3 hours out there waiting for a train. The lower track was train city that down one after another non stop but no love for the upper track. I gave up, grabbed my tripod with camera still attached and hauled all my gear down the hill, I get to the bottom of the track and guess whats coming around the corner? Yup a train on the upper track was headed my way, I sprinted to the top of the hill as fast as I could with a tripod fully extended to 5 feet at the time!! I made it to the top and snapped away, then spent the next hour or so running back and forth from the bridge to get an image to composite myself into. I got home and was just not totally happy with what I got... FAST FORWARD... to the day I took this image. I woke up early before sunset to capture an image for another concept I am working on, all day trains were going by so when I finished that shoot up I made my way over to the tracks to attempt this image again except this time on the lower tracks. Everything was set up I had taken all the images I needed to get the shot of me correct, I was only waiting on a train on the upper track again. I waited for 3.5 hours and not one single train crossed the upper track. I told myself I will wait 30 more minutes and if I get nothing then I will do without a train in the image. 10:30 am comes around and not a single Train. I grabbed my gear and hauled it back to my car. As I remove my camera from my tripod, put the lens cap on, and set my nikon on my front seat, I hear a horn........! Dammit! I sprint again back to my location hoping to place my tripod in the exact orientation it was in for my previous images, No Luck!! Although it was a ton of waiting around I sure did enjoy my time by the tracks. And although nothing worked out the way I planned it has helped me develop my processing skills and for that It was all worth it. :)

Cause we are, the light in the tunnel,

We are the living and dying,

See how we are, alone in the world

We are the light in the tunnel

That's all...

To continue my serie "We are the light", I've decided to edit pictures of some stars I've seen and took in photo on film with a disposable camera.

This serie is about the 'light' we want to show to people. We want to look bright, at our best, always happy and beautiful, all the time, everywhere, especially on social media. But what if that bright light we show made people invisible, I mean with no personality, no contrast, no shapes. We try to be sunny, but when you get to know people, we discover that we are not as bright as we seems to be.

Hope you'll like it :-)

Oklahoma is too beautiful! Thankful for my in camera double exposure. Still dying a little inside at how flawlessly it works!

I wanted to do something to the lyrics of this song since forever. I was inspired by these words and motivated by January's theme on #conceptcollab.

Sorry I haven't post much lately! I am soooo busy with school and I was sooooo busy with this little series! I'm very happy I've finished editing. The series is called "Morning rituals the girl" and I got inspired by the theme "World of others" from Concept Collaboration.

Hope you guys love it as much as I do! :D

"I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night."

Imagine the only time you feel safe and secure is while sleeping, the only place you're really carefree is in your dreams. Imagine the time you fear the most is the morning when rays of sunlight wake you up and bring you back to reality.

That's what this series is about.

A very simple concept but I liked it. And I found some rays of light in my room, so... :-)
