Not too long ago I was asked to design a trio of AllState ads for House Special Studio in Portland. First I sketched out a variety of character and bg ideas. Then... once director Aaron Sorensen and the client approved a few sketches... the crew used my 2D color designs to build miniature sets out of paper, clay and what-not. It's always fun to see your work interpreted by different artists.

I'm not sure what the car designers were exploring with this concept, but it looked kinda cool. At the San Diego Auto Show.

Covers a Special Courier Dolmatic Ute Concept that Ford Australia used in the Motor Shows around Australia in 1998, another they should have built even if in low numbers, this disappeared and presumed crushed.

Masters of the Universe line. Made by Mattel in 2025.

The Origins series which are designed like the original action figures . But with more articulation than the original figures.

Inspired from the original concept art.

One of the things I like about the Origins line is they go all out on the art work !

I just don't have the space to store all the packages they

come in. So the next best thing is to take pictures to save for posterity ....

Most of the Concept designs for the characters I like too, of course. So I like that Mattel is doing figures based on the original or concept ideas .

Mattel has taken He-Man & the Masters of the Universe characters into many different scales and lines.

I like a lot of them. But for cost and storage reasons,

I can't collect them all.

But the Origins line gets me !

The same style as the original figures.

But with more articulation. Yes !

September 28, 2014 saw the long-awaited grand opening and dedication of the Cadillac & LaSalle Museum at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. General Motors brought the 2003 Cadillac Sixteen concept car to the grand opening and it drew lots of attention. Weighing 5000 lbs., the car is powered by a 13.6 liter 32 valve V-16 engine producing 1000 horsepower at full displacement. However, "displacement on demand" technology is used to operate on either four or eight cylinders when full power is not needed.

Don't make a move 'til I say, "Action."

Oh, here comes the Hardcore life.

Put your money where your mouth is tonight.

Leave your make-up on & I'll leave on the light.

Come over here babe & talk in the mic. Oh yeah I hear you now.

It's gonna be one hell of a night.

You can't be a spectator. Oh no.

You got to take these dreams & make them whole.

Oh this is Hardcore -

there is no way back for you.

Oh this is Hardcore

Not sure exactly where this would fit in with my faction. I need some different helmets, legs and heads. Ah well.

Shout-out to my friend Blaze, whose uncle died. Prayers to him.

Little bit late to the party, but this is my celebration model for 40years of LEGO Technic.

It had to be shaped like 70's and early 80's supercars (AR Carabo, Lamborghini Countach, Toyota MR2 etc.)

The Jaguar XK 180 was a concept car created by Jaguar Cars to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the XK car and to show the world the skills of Jaguar stylists, craftsmen and engineers. Only two were built.

It had a 4.2 litre supercharged V8 engine with four valves per cylinder, developing 450 bhp and 445 Ft-Lbs (605Nm) of torque. Its transmission was a five-speed automatic gearbox with rear wheel drive. Seating capacity was two. The top speed was 180 mph (290kmh) and the time to accelerate from standstill to 100km/h was 4.5 seconds. It was capable of covering a 1/4 mile (400m) in 13.5 seconds at 106 mph (170kmh).

The XK180 was styled in the Jaguar Styling Department under the eye of the Company's Director of Styling Geoff Lawson. The lines of the car were the work of Keith Helfet, a Senior Designer at Jaguar and best known for his work on the XJ 220. Helfet's brief was to celebrate the Fiftieth Anniversary of the introduction of the XK Series and he drew influences from a range of XK-powered machines, notably the D-Type. The result combines echoes of past racing Jaguars, in the shape of its rounded nose and the headrests behind the seats, and such unique forms as the 'double-bubble' windscreen.

From a side view, you can really see the sculpted mandibles on the mask. As cool as this design is, I understand why they went with a plainer one to avoid spoilers.

Something I made a few years back in photoshop. A whatif production run at Woodford with military variants of the BAe-146

These are just three pages sketches from one of my sketchbooks. They are from my Design and Technology project this year, where I am designing a new office building for a client. I feel it is a good example of how my ideas developed. Eventually I began developing this idea of how the views and perspectives should be just as varied and interesting from the inside, as well as from the outside.
