The guts of my main working computer. Decently specced hardware, running Ubuntu linux 8.04. What's visible on the right is the drive array. JBOD, baby. Mostly using nice, red serial ata cables.
Without wide angle-lens, this shot would not have been possible.
Also, I'm guessing my nerdiness is starting to bleed through here.

I've had to almost completely rebuild the home/office/photography computer after persistent problems. Most of my ‘Lockdown too’ pictures have been processed using a 13 year old Dell Dimension PC and the free software that is provided for Pentax cameras.

Jussi Seppäsen teos Teknostadi Kirjasto 10:ssä
01.02.2010 - 30.03.2010
Kirjasto 10:ssä on esillä Jussi Seppäsen teos Teknostadi helmikuun alusta maaliskuun loppuun asti. Seppänen on toteuttanut vanhoista tietokoneen piirilevyistä Helsingin kartan. "Teknostadi on tehty rakkaudesta Helsinkiin ja helsinkiläisiin, mutta myös turhautumisesta tietotekniikan kiemuroihin. Olen tehnyt abstraktista konkreettista, veistänyt tietokoneen sisuksista uuden sielunmaiseman, sähköisen, kuhisevan, kiehtovan Stadin."

The name of this board just cracks me up. I didn't realize until later that it was named after a gamer's nickname...

This is the completed Furby of Borg. It was shipped off to Terri as a birthday present, it was quite the hit despite me being scared about her reaction. It's the only Furby of Borg that I've made that I've given away, I still own the other 3. It has been reported that this scares children less than Terri's Bella Saura stuffed horse. Somehow I think that's appropriate
A random computer part I found at a car boot sale ! Bought for 50p - I reckon It may be a modem.....
Here's one nobody wanted. Thrown away with the dead leaves and paper cups. Maybe this is one of those that gets stuck on the m.

More detailed information can be found on my blog.
The first of these books was made for a book swap with the title "An Up-To-Date Interpretation Of The Nag Hammadi Binding".
I therefore wanted to combine old and new assocciations in one book and came up with this.
Binding: As close as possible to the Nag Hammadi Binding, given I wanted to use these Computer Boards. - Almost all stiches are tackets, and it has the characteristic close flap on the front cover, and some more technical details.
Inside: The pattered paper is Lokta paper decorated with my own lino cut, which carries details of a mother board design.
Text: A self developed cuneiform writing system. See this image made during the printing of the pages. The language is actually English :-)
