DC variable PSU based on L200.

The basic idea was to reuse some spare parts, like the case, diode bridge and heatsink, from an ATX PSU, the transformer from a dead UPS, and the output banana terminal from an audio amplifier.

This is part of an idea to build some stuff that helps my kids to initiate in electricity. Hence, there's no need for higher voltage or current from the PSU, since it's purpose is to replace batteries to light some low power bulbs, LEDs, motors... and when possible, with the idea of recycle and DIY present, so they can also learn, from example, that they can build stuff themselves and they don't need to buy everything ready made, or throw away everything that doesn't work anymore, in a logic of consumer electronics disposal.

Miniature of Helsinki downtown made of old circuit boards.

My girlfriend's iMac died. The iMac was an organ donor, so we made this doll with some of her parts. Head, hair, body, breasts, arms and hands were transplanted from the iMac. Purse is a Georgia Power tag found behind our office building. Rhinestones and amusement token earrings are from Bonnie's Best Art Tools. Legs are security ties used by long-distance truckers to secure their loads. These are for sale on my website for other dollmakers to use.

This is a sculpture of a virus using computer parts; it is modeled after a T4 bacteriophage and a adenovirus. The outer shell or capsid is a small rhombicosidodecadedron and the inner shell is a icosahedron.

The guts of my main working computer. Decently specced hardware, running Ubuntu linux 8.04. What's visible on the right is the drive array. JBOD, baby. Mostly using nice, red serial ata cables.

Without wide angle-lens, this shot would not have been possible.

Also, I'm guessing my nerdiness is starting to bleed through here.
