One of my guilty pleasures is to travel virtually on my computer. There are several apps where you can discover new places and even stand in the middle of a street and visit them virtually. 🌎
On/Off - Thank you so much for visiting my photos! I'd appreciate your comment, as this will make it easier for me to catch up with you!

I am very sorry, but I'm very busy.
I'll be back as soon as possible! !
Young Brian is a huge fan of science fiction. So when he is offered the amazing opportunity to go on a galaxy quest, he bravely enters the alien spaceship on a star trek to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilisations, to boldly go where no snail has gone before. I just hope he remembers to phone home...
For Macro Mondays theme 'Desk'. The alien spaceship is my computer mouse with its red light. This is a tiny juvenile snail with a shell approximately 6 mm in length. This image posed a few technical challenges owing to the generally dark quality - I had to use a much higher ISO and longer shutter speed than I would normally to get a reasonable dof on the snail.
No snails were harmed in the making of this photograph.
When I first saw the theme for this week I thought I was going to be stuck. But the following day still pondering on it I noticed that the mouse wheel on Graham's computer mouse is red. Bingo!
Took it outside to help with getting the light and colour right.
The group limit has been set at one photo a week (adding a 2nd in comments is allowed), but I had to pick one for the group. Decided on the mouse wheel as it was something completely different.
Thank you for your favourites. :O)
I asked my husband to take this photo when the little varmint tired "operate" on the computer! :))
A person, who values the beauty of nature and ambient the world is far richer and happier than those, who not notices this.
Thank you to everyone who stopped to watch, leave a comment, award, an invitation to the group! :)
Thanks to those who gave just smile and admiration and those who remained
dissatisfied! :)

An old mouse opened up to show the circuit board.
With light coming through this part, I was reminded of a boxer!
Probably the first true 1:1 macro I have produced, with the focus set manually, and the subject moved into focus.

13th November 2021 :
More from my shopping trip. Lots of new clothes pegs to go with our new clothes horse, which might get a viewing next year in some better weather!
A new computer mouse as mine is beginning to play up. But, I'll let it drop dead, before I open the new one.
And lastly but almost the most important was a torch that we can keep in the bedroom so that if one of us wakes up in the night we don't wake the other one up.
It also makes going to bed for me a lot easier as I don't have to grope around in the dark to get into bed!

Wanda helping me work this afternoon. I guess she was trying to say that we do not need a Mouse Pad - when we have a Cat Pad! Taken on Saturday May 27, 2017.
Working on my laptop on Flickr while sitting on rocking chair by my bedroom window, with a view to my balcony and outside. I ate the snack on the plate by the time I took the shot from my cell phone.
... another new mouse.
My nice white computer mouse died about 2 months after Graham had bought it - see link:

We've got a very old spare one which has kept us going - just, but I decided it was time for a better one.
So while Graham did the shopping this morning Christine took me off to the other supermarket (with a better computer section) and I got a new one. Graham's now got the only other one that works well enough. Two happy people.

The wheel and DPI button on my desk mouse. A most useful item especially when working on photos in post.
This is a composite photo of 4 files. The lighting was simply from the desk lamp and window light.

Little catgirl hunting her favourite prey. I wonder if she knows that it is not the mouse she's looking for.
20th February 2019:
As usual on a Wednesday I was stuck in for most of the day. It was a lovely one too. But, Izzy and I made the most of it when we could in the garden. Still not warm enough to stay out long.
By teatime I still hadn't got a photo for today and as I was beginning to run out time grabbed my new computer mouse.
It wasn't the one I actually wanted, but it's the one I got. So I'll put up with it and it does have one thing in its favour - it has a sleep mode.

NB: Will catch you tomorrow, off for an early night.
5th February 2020.
When we bought Graham's new laptop we also had to get a new mouse, which I'm using as he prefers the old one. But, we also got me some stick on letters for my keyboard as I was missing a few!!
An update on the computer progress: As it was my day to be stuck in, I attacked his laptop trying to get either Firefox or Google Chrome to upload. At the same time I was trouble shooting on my laptop for help. Found it. His Windows 10 has Windows 10 S Mode on it.
This basically means that Microsoft doesn't want you to use anything that isn't in their 'store', even if you want to.
There is a way to turn it off, but it's another marathon of checking that I understand it and save everything, that's now on there that he wants. A pain.

Rainy day today so I just stuck to a fairly simple shot.

Weather poor, brain numb and time was running out. So here's my new computer mouse. I had to buy it while I was at Sarah's as mine sadly got broken in my suitcase on the way over.

My son has a rather fancy mouse for his computer, he can change the colour of the light strips.
Completely candid (not posed or trained). Our beloved kitten Hyde was 17 when this was taken, back in 2003, & still a piece of work. Any object that the human likes to pay attention to is fair game. And if it bears a certain resemblance to a certain prey species, why, so much the better!
Yes, the Texas Instruments TI-55 calculator was an antique even back then.
