The county's waste management department held their annual hazardous waste dropoff in the parking lot of a local college. I freed up some room in my garage by unloading some paint and electronics, including the first video camcorder I ever owned. Technically, some features still work but it's bulkiness and a host of other issues made disposing of it a pretty easy choice. I'll miss it just the same.
These pics show my office in Berlin, Jan through May 2012. I was a visiting researcher at Humboldt University, Department of Social Sciences. The office was/is in Ziegelstrasse 13c. The place is actually really nice, I just try to maximize its spookiness on the photos.

Bought a mount from eBay to hold my eXplorist 210 while on bike rides. This 210 is running the European firmware from a couple years ago, which has a trip computer screen. Good for getting info during a bike ride.
This Computer Lab was built by our talented workers here at JCRC, creating a peacefull study area with a lot of natural light from windows that provide a relaxing view and ceiling lighting that let you see what your doing.

The ceramic paint used on the lighthouse was also applied to the Point Lookout Bell Tower, sited near the lighthouse at CBMM. Funded through private donations, computer-operated controls for the Bell Tower have also been added to facilitate the ringing of ship’s bell time. Traditionally, a ship’s bell time designates the beginning and end of each four-hour watch on board a ship. The bell rings a distinctive pattern to alert sailors of the time and how many hours are left on their shift. The Point Lookout Tower’s bells now ring on the half hour from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a pattern of rings repeating every four hours. And we will arrange more Coding Winter and Summer Camps and coding quizzes, competitions, online quizzes, and programs for kids from time to time.
