HAMWORTHY 2TF5 Air Compressor

Fireman Chuck Young tests the air compressor on Florida East Coast 148 shortly before it heads back to Clewiston.

This original pulley was designed to run a flat belt but at some point the motor was retrofitted to run 3 v-belts still utilizing the flat main pulley. I would like to return the unit to it's original design a flat belt. Today I pulled the main pulley cleaned it up then spent hours dressing the riding surface of the pulley. It was black and stained. It now has a nice brite burnished look. Another thing I have learned, this is a fan pulley. It is designed in such a way as to act like a fan aiding in the cooling of the unit. May be common knowledge but I'm learning something new every day!

I finally got to wander to Quarry Park with a buddy Steve, which I was really looking forward to, sadly we did not get to spend an ample amount of time, but enough for some great shots.
