Today's shot is of my 400c air compressor. The compressor is for my newly acquired air ride for my Volkswagen. Air bags replace the springs, and the compressor fills the bags to raise the car off the ground; or decompress the bags to get the car sitting on the ground.

I bought the car back in 1996 ish, after deserting my first Mini 850 for bad handling Rover Metro - I learned my mistake quite quickly!
Originally a Flame Red Mini Sprite with a 1275 A+ engine, I had left her in my Dad's garage to him to use (occasionally) for the past few years as a second car.
She hasn't done more than 1500 miles a year over the last few years, but time was starting to show on her.
However in November 2008, after he had retired and no longer needed the car, I decided to take her off the road and give her some much needed TLC.
.........After 9 months, with blood sweat and tears, a welder, compressor and time, she is finally back on the road and parked up at the August 2009 Midland Breakfast club at RAF Cosford Aerospace Museum.
She may not be the fastest, safest, most reliable, most modern, most comfortable car on the road and she certainly isn't a motorway cruiser, but for the sheer thrill of driving a car 10 feet long and 4 feet wide along twisty country roads in the Shropshire countryside I am not sure that there is anything better ....
She still needs a bit of 1500ish wet and dry, T-Cut and Polishing, that will take a little longer!!
