Der DB Messzug, bestehend aus den Fahrzeugen 725 002 und 726 002, hat seine Messfahrten durch die hessische Wetterau beendet und von Friedberg geht es über die elektrifizierte Strecke zurück nach Hanau. 2 x 110 kW haben ausgereicht um das Gespann auf der Steigung von Friedberg nach Assenheim ordentlich zu beschleunigen. Dort brummt er jetzt mit Volldampf am Fotografen vorbei dem vor Begeisterung fast das Brötchen aus der Hand gefallen wäre. ;o)
Powered by two 110 kW Buessing diesel motors. rail test combo 725/726 002 hurries through Assenheim station in Hesse, Germany. The train was busy on various non-electrified branch lines around Friedberg and Giessen all morning and is now returning to Hanau. 725 002 (the small one on the rear end) was built in 1959 and originally numbered 798 676.

Completed in 1919, this was the home of an English-Catholic congregation until 2001, when declining numbers led them to move in with the French-speaking members of the nearby Notre-Dame-de-Grace church.
The church was acquired in 2004 by the River's Edge congregation (named not for any nearby river, but rather for a passage from the Bible's Book of Joshua).

Since I can't carry a heavy camera for an indefinite period because of my shoulder surgery, I got a new toy from my wife for my birthday. A fine little Sony that weighs only half. These are the first results.
I think it's not bad!

BNSF 1785 and 1953 tie on to their lone car after working the CTRR interchange in Cloquet, MN on the evening of July 26, 2019. This edition of the Grand Rapids Local brought about 20 cars from Superior to Cloquet but after their Cloquet set out left for Rapids with this one car. Seen some short Grand Rapids Locals this summer, especially west of Cloquet.
Completed in 1880, the Point No Point light is the oldest lighthouse in Washington State. Point No Point got its name from the fact that it appears less prominent as ships draw near than from farther away. It is located near Hansville, at the northeast tip of Kitsap County, WA. The light was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
Meiji Shrine was completed and dedicated to the Emperor Meiji and the Empress Shoken in 1920, eight years after the passing of the emperor and six years after the passing of the empress. The shrine was destroyed during the Second World War but was rebuilt shortly thereafter. Source japan-guide.com

Completing the CSAO South Jersey highhood trifecta, NS 5225 passes through Franklinville, NJ, with a short train for Pavonia on Aug. 17, 2023.
Tim, seen here finishing his piano playing. He's also a composer, an amazing singer, can play multiple instruments, and has perfect pitch (in that you can say a random note and he can sing that without a second thought).

Having completed it's work at the intermodal "Hub" just west of Regina, CPKC 113 is on the move again toward Moose Jaw.
