Hidden by the clouds is Mount Kinabalu. As stand and wait for the cloud to move I am distracted by a person covered from the heat with a hand strimmer.
Mr. E. seen here complaining bitterly when I insisted that he come inside this morning, when the temperature reached 98f. He is a vocally very argumentative cat, as sweet as can be when he decides he wants physical contact, but combatively resists any attempts of control that he does not approve of (and of course, his approval varies day to day). 😍

One more image from a cold, windy visit to Kits Beach. This one is looking to the left of the other image I posted several days ago, The Winds of Change. Here you can see West Vancouver across the water, and also going out to English Bay, the Burrard Inlet and then the open ocean.
We've had a lot of dark, rainy days in the past couple of months.
This is the Vancouver City Hall, an 85 year old building, looking rather eerie on another gloomy day.
It's a wonderful life, it's a wonderful life
Traversed in tears from the heavens
My heart is a melodrama, a melodrama in fact
Set alight by echoes of pain 24-7, 24-7
I dream, I smile, I walk, I cry
I dream, I smile, I walk, I cry
You might not say that it's a wonderful world
And it's a wonderful life
And it's a wonderful day
Just as yesterday
But I won't complain
No, I won't complain

Depeche Mode - But Not Tonight
Oh God it's raining
But I'm not complaining
It's filling me up with new life
The stars in the sky
Bring tears to my eyes
They're lighting my way tonight
And I haven't felt so alive
In years
Just for a day
On a day like today
I'll get away from this constant debauchery
The wind in my hair
Makes me so aware
How good it is to live tonight
And I haven't felt so alive
In years
The moon
Is shining in the sky
Reminding me
Of so many other nights
But they're not like tonight
Oh God it's raining
And I'm not containing
My pleasure at being so wet
Here on my own
All on my own
How good it feels to be alone tonight
And I haven't felt so alive
In years
The moon
Is shining in the sky
Reminding me
Of so many other nights
When my eyes had been so red
I'd been mistaken for dead
But not tonight . . .
" Don't wanna complain, the weather could be worse,
But I wish I'd learned from my mistakes.
Don't really need no clever words,
to understand what's in your face.
Can't see the truth in triggered words,
don't need a mountain for a wall,
see the big old moon spin around the world,
somehow it makes me feel so small.
I know I've been living the simple life, really that's the main thing,
nowadays nobody speaks about the way they feel about things.
I know I need something to set me right, now it seems there's nothing..
Nowadays nobody thinks about a way to ease the suffering.
Baby I know you're the first thing
I believe in, honestly
say you don't know enough about me,
how do you prove what you can't see?
Well, it's a question of faith."

I really can't complain--she's made so much progress in 16 months she's been with us, but much more than that, the joy and love she has brought us is immeasurable. She is truly the epitome of a therapy dog for us.❤️

My friends today complained that a man hiding under the nickname "monte-leone" www.flickr.com/photos/monte-leone/ posted in his account under his nickname dozens of my photos that he downloaded here with Flikr. He cut the box with my name. I asked him to delete my pictures that did not belong to him. Check out his account whether there are some 3500 photos among your cae, not even yours.
I cannot complain about July so far, if there is something to wish for the rest of the month this will be more sunshine. For now I try to get out as soon as there is the chance to catch some rays. Midweek evening hiking in Dehme, Ostwestfalen, Germany
… I was complaining the other day to Todd I never could catch Drift in a relax mode or asleep, because when I grab the cam he always jumps up … he has a sixth sense for it, even when I'm really really quiet (for a human that is) … but today I got him :) he had his eyes closed when I pressed the button, but this is close enough … this poor dog was só tired of being away from us the whole weekend he couldn't be bothered to get up …

I cannot complain about the sunshine troughout the day but the evening so far were very cloudy. It really needs planning and luck to catch the few moments when there is a window in the sky. Blavand, Jylland, Denmark
Our pets recently complained about me only uploading stuff from Chicago, Cologne or dolomites..sorry guys...Miss Ellie relaxing today....Have a good start into the week! Stay healthy and safe! Thx, Udo.
i was complaining that my lens was too slow...missed so many potential shots while we were in the "hummingbird gardens" but maybe that is OK since I have probably overwhelmed you with the ones I did get...and I am not sharing the boring , perfectly focused, while-sitting-on-the-feeder shots LOL
I can`t help but thinking of `the hummingbird Queen`Sue Gary when I post these shots...She has been such an inspiration to me over trhe past few years: www.flickr.com/photos/gr8fl89/ And thanks to Ulli www.flickr.com/photos/51763696@N08/with/4921725387/ for introducing me to this wonderful place.
I have been complaining over the years our Northern Mockingbirds are Bossy and chasing all the birds from the feeders,
Have not seen them lately, perhaps thats why for 5 minutes it was lifting its wings as to tell me here I am!
Taken from 50 feet away on top of our Arborvitae's.

Last year I complained to anyone that would listen that the Norther Flickers just wouldn't cooperate...as I was leaving for Dan Foley Park a Northern Flicker landed in the bamboo in my yard and when I got to the park a Northern Flicker landed in this berry bush... this is what my grandson would jokingly call a 'quinkydink' (coincidence)...:)...image below! and Canon 7D warning!!
After complaining yesterday about the lack of warblers in the woods this spring, I found this pretty little palm warbler filling up on some flying ants that had landed in the grass.
The spotted hawk swoops by and accuses me—he complains of my gab and my loitering.
I too am not a bit tamed—I too am untranslatable;
I sound my barbaric yawp over the roofs of the world.
The last scud of day holds back for me;
It flings my likeness after the rest, and true as any, on the shadow’d wilds;
It coaxes me to the vapor and the dusk.
I depart as air—I shake my white locks at the runaway sun;
I effuse my flesh in eddies, and drift it in lacy jags.
I bequeathe myself to the dirt, to grow from the grass I love;
If you want me again, look for me under your boot-soles.
You will hardly know who I am, or what I mean;
But I shall be good health to you nevertheless,
And filter and fibre your blood.
Failing to fetch me at first, keep encouraged;
Missing me one place, search another;
I stop somewhere, waiting for you.
Excerpted from "Song of Myself," in Leaves of Grass.
Yesterday I complained about the lack of spring migrants returning to the Driftless Region due to the cold winterlike weather. The weather didn't improve today, but the bird gods did their best to make me feel better. This male brown-headed cowbird is wearing a gorgeous green winter jacket to fend off the cold freezing temperature. He'll be staying right here at Lake Meyer Park for the summer.
Whereas I keep complaining about the lack of butterflies in these 'ere parts, the bees have been plentiful for months.
The bumblies seem to favour the Lavender but these bees [don't know what they're called, p'raps someone can enlighten me?] are all over the Sedums! NB Now identified as a Honeybee- thank you Jan.
I should not complain about the shredding of the sunflowers. The birds gifted me with these and now they are enjoying the fruits of their labor :>)
Or valley. Impressive place, but I will still complain that I couldn't get all the beauty of the place in just one photo, there is 72 waterfalls there. Its kind of like Petra, you just see 2 points of it usually, but the whole place is worth it.
I should have used my drone here... well, it would have make 0.5 megapixel photos, hehehe. Cheap cheap.
I got a job! A corporate job! So in the next 6 months (or more if I manage to get another job once inside) I will be working more with Excel than with Photoshop. An accountants' life.
We were together.
I forget the rest.

Before everyone laments and complains that this image resembles another one of a very talented artist here...YES this picture is inspired by a fantastic shot of Lulu Jameson . An artist that I look up to and who amaze me for such a long time. He showed us a picture by the campfire some time ago and I was like...hey it´s like sitting right next to you.
Yesterday some friends and I hang out together and I saw that something is going one between them....I had registered how he looked only to her so there was my sneaky shot. And while I looked at their faces I thought about what could have been on the other side of the campfire. It would be the perfect place, the perfect moment for a starting romance like this one..

Hopefully everyone can let me continue my indulgence of Roan Mountain from last month... This one was taken from Jane Bald after most everyone had cleared out. I'd wanted to hop up on these rocks earlier but really I think it worked out better for after sunset, at least I'm telling myself that. Shooting 16mm from here was only capturing the right two-thirds of the image....so I took a 2nd shot and was able to merge them into this mostly square composition. Again, no clouds for this evening, but gosh, I couldn't complain with the color palette I was working with... I hope everyone's week is off to a great start...but I could do without this scorching heat...no more high 90s please.
