c1910 postcard view of two iron bridges over Wildcat Creek near Greentown, Indiana. The bridge on the left was the wagon bridge and the one on the right the traction, or interurban, bridge. The latter belonged to the Kokomo, Marion and Western Traction Co. That company became part of the Indiana Railways and Light Co in 1912. These bridges were located where US 35 crosses Wildcat Creek (Kokomo Waterworks Reservoir) west of Greentown today. Nathan Bilger has created an Indiana interurban routes overlay map for Google Earth and it shows the interurban line on the south side of the highway between Greentown and Kokomo. If that was the case a century ago, then this view was looking east toward Greentown.
The plaque that identified the builder of the wagon bridge is mounted at the top of the bridge portal, but isn’t readable. The small sign posted on the interurban bridge reads DANGER NO TRESPASSING.

This is statistically the coldest week of the year in these climes, hence the proliferation of pants. Oh, and I've been trying to remove a parking spot made of tape from the hallway all week. Tuesday is my favorite by far and I like that I wore five different pairs of shoes.

Here comes our first online compilation full of selected netaudio pearls. Steppin' through different styles and genres but still looking for the 'special track'.
Starting with the extraordinary folktronic piece Carte postale from Bacanal Intruder . Second track is is the nice campfire song Away with words by Crepusculum , taken from the fantastic Electronica unplugged release (aerotone).
Next, again folk-coloured electronica from Héctor Zarate with Coke, Cigarettes And You (whole ep) followed by one of my favourites - Lucrecia from Colombia with Let's pretend - what a wonderful song... Daniel Maze takes us down a step deeper into great electro-acoustic electronica with Whats Your Poison (whole ep) before Loafeye drops down still deeper with his fantastic Drinking Rosewater.
After this Acidhead impresses with his remix of Handful of dust from Fabryka, until the digital dub-rockers from Illyah & Ltd. Candy invites for a dance (or even other things...) with Fight The Formation. You're a versatile dancer? Cool, stay on the floor and take RMF's Rhodesia. Once on the floor, keep falling deep into Deymare's Smalltown poem, a deep understated house track. Easy Changes are now coming up with the perfect minimal glitches of Imagine, so stay tuned to the floor. Hubby was playing with his new phone a few nights ago & he took these photos of the full moon. He tells me that it was done with 100x digital zoom and the phone processed the photos with AI. He took them using a tripod and says that it was hard to centre all of them.
c1910 postcard view of North Washington Street in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The photographer was standing in Washington Street at the alley between Main and Market Streets. He was looking north-northeast toward the Market Street intersection.
The brick chimney near the left edge of this postcard was probably at the J. C. Alfrey Wood Working and Planing Mill on the northeast corner at Washington and North Streets. That chimney was 115 feet tall according to the 1913 Sanborn™ fire insurance map set for Crawfordsville. That map set identified the building above the trolley as the K. of P. (Knights of Pythias) Building on the northeast corner at Washington and Market Streets. The sign on the building to the right of the trolley included the name MILLER. The map set shows a bicycle repair shop at that location (124 North Washington Street).
The three-story brick building at the right edge of this scene stood across the alley on the north side of the courthouse square. The 1913 map set shows a barbershop in the north half (118 North Washington Street) of the building at street level. However, nothing in this scene indicates the nature of the business, if any, in that space. The use of the south half of that building at street level was clearly identified by the BEN-HUR STATION sign. That sign advertised the interurban passenger station (116 North Washington Street) and the associated freight depot that occupied the rear of the building. These facilities belonged to the I. C. & W. (Indianapolis, Crawfordsville & Western) Traction Co. that served Crawfordsville. The I. C. & W. company was created in 1903 under a different name. In 1912, it became the Indianapolis, Crawfordsville & Danville (I. C. & D.) Electric Railway Company as the result of a foreclosure proceeding. Later that year, the T. H. I. & E. (Terre Haute, Indianapolis & Eastern) Traction Co. leased the I. C. & D. route. The line was abandoned in the 1930s. The company’s car barn and repair shop were in the 400 block of North Walnut Street.
An article about the new interurban line between Indianapolis and Crawfordsville was published in 1908.¹
“The new line of the Indianapolis, Crawfordsville & Western Traction Company, known as the Ben-Hur route, from Indianapolis, northwest to Crawfordsville, Ind., 45.1 miles, was built for high speed operation…. Limited trains are scheduled to make the trip between terminal stations in Crawfordsville and Indianapolis in 1 hour and 25 minutes…. The power station was built at Crawfordsville with the idea of having it centrally located when the contemplated extension west to Danville, III. should be built…. At Crawfordsville a long term lease has been obtained on a two story brick building near the court house. A siding has been extended into the alley along one side of the building and the lower floor is used as a passenger waiting room, trainmen's room, dispatcher's office and freight room in the rear. On the second floor are the operating offices of the company.”
Trolley car number 202 had stopped in front of the station. This was the LOCAL INDIANAPOLIS to CRAWFORDSVILLE car. A baggage cart was parked nearby.
The sign on the third floor above the station identified the location of the P.O.S. of A. (Patriotic Order Sons of America) HALL. This organization was founded in 1847 and is still in existence.

I yearn to be able to string together the most effective words possible to describe the unbelievable specialness of this gift I received from my friend Mel. I'm posting this 3 months later than I would have liked to, but in the months since receiving it, treating myself to a listen of this crazy sweet compilation of tunes has become an almost daily ritual for me! As the likes of the riveting Neko Case, Tori Amos and Imelda May float over my eardrums - it's like the miles between Mel & me disappear! She suddenly seems like she is right there in my living room or in the passenger seat of my car and nothing can dampen my mood or keep my from happily tapping my toes! I just have to get my act together & finish up the mix CD I plan to reciprocate with! ;) Oh Melly my Melly, the things you do to my poor heart and belly! Thank you endlessly for loving me so much, even with all my many faults! You make my life so very good! <3
A project from 2010, at EGM. This interior was taylor-made for the first tenant of an office development of three buildings in a row. In the interior design the corporate image was given a reliable, representative look as well as a kind of home-like, domestic feel, thereby characterizing the company. Also very important in this sense, are the special features of the building itself. With it's completion in 2010 the project will be one of the most energy efficient office buildings in the Netherlands.

Skoocha is one of the may aliases of French/Spanish Musician & Producer Benoit Munoz. He discovered Trance in 1995 while visiting friends in Amsterdam when somebody gave him the first Dragonfly compilation. From there there was no turning back and he knew music would be his life. Now a busy music producer and musician in NY since 2003. Skoocha still finds time to craft Trance tracks that will blend the emotions of the oldschool goatrance that started all this with the power of the actual production and the Funk of NY ! Over the years he has worked released tracks with Manmademan (UKSL / Flying Rhino) Biotonic (Solstice ) Earworm (3d Vision) Mesmerizer (MindControl). His music has been played extensively over the world by dj's like Domino and the mighty Juno Reactor. His long awaited 1st album that will contain many unreleased tracks as well as remixes of the old ones is due this winter on Parabola Records (Germany). It will be the 2nd release of this new label after the Talamasca Vs XSI Album.
Expect a set that combines old and new tracks as well as some new collaborations.
