While editing old images during lockdown I rediscovered the photo which won a travel competition for the Wanderlust Travel Magazine
back in 2018.
The following two images are alternative frames taken at the same time as the winning shot. I can not decide which one I prefer, and would love to hear your thoughts and reasons why. In addition I have increased the colour saturation in these shots, particularly of the car. I will post the second image shortly for comparison. Cheers!

Night shot. Penarth Pier takes a bolt of lightning. Lights reflecting on water and shadows of victorian railings on water in foreground to the bottom right. Art deco building. The light in the distance just off the end of the pier is on the English coast line.

Was watering the plants in the greenhouse the other day and the water drops were sparkling with the sunshine beaming through them .......... just caught my eye - it was quite hard to get a good photo without getting too wet :-)

Just got the bug playing with photoshop and my images - especially the moon photos - I have used some birds that I took and the shining waves photo and just worked on making it look the way I wanted - really pleased with the end results :-)

One of the final 50 of the 2007 flickr competition, Asia in the World (run by Stuart Isett), and shown at the Angkor Photography Festival, Siem Reap, Cambodia, 26 November 2007.
Then chosen by Martin Reeves as one of the three winners of the competition.
I enjoy following the work of B&W experts like Ross Magrath, windy_ and Colin Campbell so decided to have a go at mono this time.
I'm pleased to say that this shot won Seatruck Ferries autumn picture competition in 2013.

Camping on the Isle of Wight in my VW camper looking toward Orion. It's my first attempt at a very long exposure to obtain star trails. Had problems with unwanted light that caused flare. Left the shutter open and went inside camper for a glass or two of wine during the exposure.
Details of the shot are as follows:- Exposure 1259 secs, Aperture f/5, Focal length 18mm, ISO 100.
