What happens to large structures that become derelict? No, this is not about 'me', but who is responsible or can you just be allowed to let something decompose irrespective of how it affects others or the environment? This may be a wreck in a better state than the RMS Queen Mary in Long Beach harbour. Apparently it is at risk of sinking as there are no bilge pumps to drain the lower compartments and they are corroding and weakening. But who can afford the hundreds of millions that might be required to replace the weakened parts and keep it floating? The current owners seem to be suggesting it's not their problem. If it sinks, will they just leave someone else to pay the bills and deal with the wreck? It's a bit big.

When I set up my tripod for this shot, my idea was to take an abstract image about the concept of social distancing. I wanted each person to be in their own individual "compartment", nicely separated by the totems (which are part of an open-air art installation, by the way). Little did I know of how much waiting I was getting myself into. In the end, I got the shot, but it took almost 30 minutes of waiting – and I still had to move one person digitally in Photoshop. It was then that I decided to add a question mark to the title of the image. These people were everything but socially distanced.
Here in Germany (and probably every other country), people are quick to blame politicians for all things going wrong in the fight against the pandemic. However, many of them fail to see that it is just as much their own fault to quite a degree. Far too many people simply don't care about keeping their distance, willing to take the chance of other people dying because of their actions.
The fight against the pandemic is not won by the decisions made in a politician's office. It is won by how well these decisions are executed by the people in their everyday lives.

Windows are an important part of street photography for me. On the one hand, there are the interesting reflections, but also the confusion that sometimes arises and has to be resolved first. Fenster sind für mich in der Streetphotographie ein wichtiger Bestandteil. Zum einen sind da die interessanten Spiegelungen aber auch Verwirrungen, die es manchmal gibt und die erst einmal aufgelöst werden muss. I liebe es. After the Third Day, which is on the vault of the third compartment of the southern nave, the story of the creation of the World continues on the vaults of the northern nave and develops in reverse order - from the western compartment to the altar:
- Day four, the creation of lights, the inscription: "AND THE SPEECH OF GOD SO SHALL BE LIGHTS ON THE SOLIDS OF THE HEAVEN. DAY FOUR.
God made the sun, moon, and stars visible from the surface of the earth (Genesis 1:14-19);
- Day five, the creation of sea and flying creatures, the inscription: "AND THE SPEECH OF GOD AND THE WATERS BROUGHT UP REPTILES AND BIRDS. DAY FIVE",
God created sea and flying creatures (Genesis 1:20-23);
- The sixth day, the creation of man, the inscription: "And God said, Let us create man in Our image [and] likeness. Day six.",
God created land animals as well as humans (Genesis 1:24-31).
Перекриття над центральною та бічними навами склепіннями ділиться на 9 осередків. У кожному осередку зображується велика композиція – по три в бічних та центральній навах. У бічних навах зображуються один за одним шість Днів Творіння, причому оповідання починається в південній наві в найближчому до вівтаря компартименті.
У книзі Буття говориться, що Бог творив шість «днів». Ідеться не про буквальні дні по 24 години кожен, а про періоди невизначеної тривалості.
Після Дня третього, що на склепінні третього компартимету південної нави, оповідання про створення Світу продовжується на склепіннях північноі нави і розвивається у зворотному порядку – від західного компартименту до вівтаря:
- День четвертий, створення світил, напис: «І МОВЛЕННЯ БГЪ ТАК БУДУТЬ СВІТИЛА НА ТВЕРДИ НЕБЕСНЕЙ. ДЕНЬ ЧЕТВЕРТИЙ.
Бог зробив так, що сонце, місяць і зорі стали видимі з поверхні землі (Буття 1:14—19);
- День п'ятий, створення морських й летючих створіннь, напис: «І МОВЛЕННЯ БГЪ ТА ВИВЕДУТЬ ВОДИ ГАДИ І ПТАХИ. ДЕНЬ П'ЯТИЙ»,
Бог створив морські й летючі створіння (Буття 1:20-23);
- День шостий, створення людини, напис: «І промовив Бог створимо людину за образом Нашим [і] за подобою. День шостий.»,
Бог створив наземних тварин, а також людей (Буття 1:24-31).
Усі композиції будуються схожим чином – у правій частині зображується абсолютно однакова у всіх шести випадках сидяча фігура Бога Отця з творячим жестом руки, а в лівій частині – те, що творить Бог, залежно від дня.
Отже, розповідь про створення світу розташовується обручкою і оперізує весь храм по периметру.
