The cookies are my regular vanilla sugar cookie recipe with Starbucks VIA Instant Coffee added to the dough. Icing flavors are vanilla latte, caramel macchiato & peppermint mocha Frappucino.
The peppermint frap cookie was my favorite, but they are all ridiculously delicious.

Lime zest sugar cookies with key lime, cinnamon (for the pepper), and lime-rum icing for the margarita.
This was for a trade with a woodworking neighbor who said I could do whatever I wanted. I changed my mind a few times before getting the Corona idea which worked out perfectly since she was throwing a Cinco De Mayo party. :D

These are the exact cookies that were sent to my "secret queen" in the Cookie Queens first cookie swap. I really wanted to send some Aloha her way. :)
6 City of Vancouver Water Works (VWW) water control valve box covers.
Vancouver water valve box covers come in various shapes and sizes and were made by a few different foundries - Terminal City Iron Works (TC), Dobney Foundry, FR Foundry, McLean & Powell, Associated Foundry, etc.
This is another versions made by Terminal City Iron Works (TC).
In older neighbourhoods you find several versions of waterworks covers with patterns cut into the cover giving them a sort of art deco look.
Visually the more interesting valve covers (IMO) are the standard 12” x 16” ones. Over the decades the covers were made by manufacturers who added their own identification.
The basic design features the letters VWW stacked on top of each other, beside a pattern with a round bit where the foundry that cast them made their mark.
This version is prior to the stacked VWW seen on the majority of covers today.
ABOUT TERMINAL CITY:
Terminal City Iron Works was founded in 1906 by James Mason and Harry and Thomas Littler. It started off at 140 Alexander and moved to 1949 Albert (the original name for Franklin Street) in 1912.
“It was a small iron foundry, brass foundry and machine shop, then it slowly took over the various lots on that city block,” explains Dale Baldry of Terminal City Manufacturing, which left the old foundry site in 2001 but is still operating in Langley.
Terminal City’s products were used all over the province.
