The farmhouse Poggio Amorelli owned by the couple Adriana and Marco Mazzarrini is located in one of the most beautiful area in Chianti, near to the village of Castellina in Chianti and one of part of the wineyards are also in Maremma, near the village of Magliana in Tuscany.
It embraces 40 hectars land; 15 hectars of wineyard specialized in the production of Chianti Classico DOCG, Gallo Nero and of Morellino di Scansano DOCG.
The Wine production started in 1987, but only in 1995, with the restoration of the wine cellar and with the change in equipments for the wine production, the products started in receiving awards for its quality.
The wines are sold both on the national market as also in foreign countries, majority in Germany and USA. The aim of the Mazzarrini family is to grow in quality and not in quantity, to maintain the characteristics and the management of the family owned company, the only peculiarity to be different in a global market that push towards uniformity of traditions and tastes.

After so many months, I went around to see the snow in the park. This photo was taken through the dirty windshield of my car.
I wasn't going to post today but I read the sad news that a friend here passed out on January 9 and I feel very sad. : (

My front yard, left side of the main door
In the box there are: Schlumbergera, Aloe Cosmo, Kalanchoe Tomentosa and some succulents.
Moreover some very tiny succulents and one Frangipani.
More to the right, out of camera, there are some geraniums and one portulaca.
Testing my new Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, my gift for the Three Kings Day ☺☺.
I wanted to test it with a sunset, where the sun was down in the middle of the S'Estalella Lighthouse in S'Estanyol (next photos). These days are the only moment for to get it near my house.
When I was trying to put the camera over the tripod, "mmmmmm, problems 😕". I picked up one my two tripods. but I took the wrong adapter 😔. In the meantime I saw the moon. I had to shoot with my hands and very fast. Despite this trouble, it's not a bad catch.
While they are fixing the Parliement our elected representative are(sometime) seating in this building.
A Cape blue waterlily (Nymphaea capensis) blooms in an autumn-leaf festooned pond. What was it doing here, wild and untended, so far afield?

The Information Commons is a library and computing building at the University of Sheffield, England. It opened on 10 April 2007 to staff and students of the University, although it was officially opened on 26 September 2007 by Harsh Srivastav, a graduate of the university and former President of the Students Union.
The building has a distinctive blue-green appearance, with its external cladding which is principally of pre-patinated copper sheet. But since I'm a big fan of black and white photography, today it's silver 😁

▶ "Floribunda (Latin for 'many-flowering') is a modern group of garden roses that was developed by crossing hybrid teas with polyantha roses, the latter being derived from crosses between Rosa chinensis and Rosa multiflora (sometimes called R. polyantha). The idea was to create roses that bloomed with the polyantha profusion, but with hybrid tea floral beauty and color range. The first polyantha/hybrid tea cross, 'Rödhätte' ('Red Riding Hood'), was introduced by the Danish breeder Dines Poulsen in 1907."
