I'm very happy that this shot made it to explore.

It was one of those moments when you see something and you suddenly see its beauty. I grabbed the camera and captured it handheld in very low light, assuming it would be blurry. But here it is...

My first (and the best ever) Commodore 64 with 1541-II drive. My dad made me a custom power supply (the original one was missing) -- it was hard (and expensive) to get that one in Poland those days.

Commy had a reset button (wired by someone else before) and 2 more holes (where I stuck those lame elephant stickers, when I was 9 or 10).

Thinking of those days, playing a game wasn´t a quick thing....let´s remember: "Press Play on Tape"

This is Finn Nielsen, age 64. The age is just a coincidence.

I have had this idea for about 2 years. Why? The Commodore 64 machine is absolutely great, and I wanted to do something else than taking pictures of the machine itself.

If you don't know what the Commodore 64 is, google it :)

Check out the HIGH-RES to see the details on the pins, the clock etc.

I was cleaning a Commodore C64 keyboard, yesterday. The old plastics not just gets dirty, but also pretty yellow over time. There is a procedure called "retro-brighting" to tremove the yellow discoloring. I took off all key-caps, washed them with a detergent. After rinsing them, I have put them into 12% hydrogen peroxide and heated in to 50°C in the oven. After a few hours and moving around the key-caps every 30 minutes. the discoloring was almost completely gone. When I assembled the keyboard again, I noticed, that the SHIFT LOCK was missing. It was still on my workbench and escaped the procedure.

The reason for the cleaning was the need for a C64 keyboard soon. I have ordered a modern board, that emulates the C64 pretty well. All the lovely old games can be played. Like Pac-Man. (this game was released fourty years ago!).

da piccolo avevo paura dei ragni e della cantina buia.

mi ritrovavo spesso a cinque anni,

io i ragni li osservo ancora.

sconfiggendo o aggravando quella fobia.

When I was a child I was afraid of spiders and the dark cellar.

When I was 5-years-old I often stayed in that dark cellar, in the old house of my granma.

I stared at bad spiders

still today I'm annoyed about holding in a hand a hairy spider or bug.

but now I 'm not scared by condensed milk and lies of my dad.

I'm still staring at the spiders

and at the creeping hairy spiders and bugs.

But now I'm no more afraid of them.

The time puts an edge on my phobias.

Now I have technological and insane fears.

When I was 5-years-old I had the same fears as a child of the nineteenth-century

a child from "libro cuore".

Now I have the same fears of a boy who comes from the age of the commodore64 and "back to the future".

In this milleminun I have fashionable fears.

Sometimes I try to face them as I was child.

Yesterday at 3pm in my dark room i thought what kind of tradegy will be to do not have my best eye or both of them.

Yesterday at 3pm I stayed with a hook near my eye

Trusting in my steady hand and in the lens.

The terror caught me at my shoulders taking away my breath.

at the end the terror went away and said hallo to me discreetly and formally.

this pic is dedicated to everybody who is scared.

and to everybody who saw his worst nightmare comes true.

A sizeable abandoned house built, in an unusual area this Villa was owned by a wealthy business man who had a passion for travelling. Rumour has it the owner was killed when attacked by a group of Koala Bears after they escaped from a zoo enclosure. The house was full of contents giving clues to the previous residents life...

This is an ad for the Parker Brothers home console port of Atari's classic Star Wars: The Arcade Game (1983).

I've never played it, but I wonder how the good ol' 3D color vector graphics transferred to the pre-NES consoles.

Sega released a similarly titled Star Wars Arcade for the 32X in 1994 based off their own arcade game from the previous year. Needless to say it was a bit more visually impressive.

My Mr. works at ____, his boss is a very HUGE fan of video games. So much so, that he has a shrine in the office. I thought it was necessary to share. I haven't considered myself a gamer for that long, but whenever I walk into this office, I can't help but gasp!

Dirty old C64 I picked up. This was the keyboard so you can imagine the rest of it. Howerver once cleaned this was probably my best working C64!!!
