Its been a mean decade - but the Euro's cushioned some of the blow.

My inspiration for this piece was modern art and consumerism. I realized that we buy items of clothing and makeup to form a specific identity, and these are the things that make us who we are in a sense. I drew all the lines by hand with a ruler to form a barcode and incorporated the fingerprint so that the piece as a whole had a graphic feel to it. Instead of the generic barcode which has numbers underneath it, I chose to write ‘accepted’ as that is what we aim to achieve when buying all of these commodities.
I've been working on a little project, of which these are just a little preview.
