India: Another model committed suicide in 3 days.

According to Indian media reports, after the suicide of 21-year-old actress and model Badisha Majmadar two days ago, another model from Kolkata, Manjusha Niyogi, allegedly committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of her room.

According to reports, the model's mother has claimed that her daughter was suffering from severe mental stress after the death of her close friend Badisha Majumdar.

Police said they also found a suicide note with Badisha's body in which they blamed the lack of career opportunities for the suicide.

The Dr. Cécile Dewitt-Morette France-UT Endowed Excellence Fund will solidify the commitment between France and UT Austin to support scholarship that will lead to generations of joint discoveries and deepen the historical ties between the people of France and Texas.

“The Embassy of France is committed to encouraging sustainable cooperation between French and American universities to foster new discoveries as well as students’ and researchers’ mobility,” said Gérard Araud, ambassador of France to the United States. “This new France-University of Texas at Austin program, named for the famous physicist Cécile DeWitt-Morette, will open new perspectives of cooperation in all fields of science and humanities.”

The endowment will honor the life and work of the late mathematician, physicist and UT Austin professor Cécile DeWitt-Morette, who was born and educated in France. A recipient of the French Legion of Honor, DeWitt-Morette leaves a trans-Atlantic legacy as a researcher, educator and champion for improving global science relations. During her storied career, she held the Jane and Roland Blumberg Centennial Professor Emerita in Physics at UT Austin and founded L’École de Physique des Houches, a school that has produced more than 25 winners of the Nobel Prize and the Fields Medal.

I thought I would try something different this week. Georgia remains a committed ally of the EU in the region and dedicated security partner, Georgia Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili addressed the 5th Summit of the Eastern Partnership in Brussels.

The Prime Minister spoke about Georgia's ongoing reforms and the potential of the Eastern Partnership.

"[European] values have shaped resolute domestic agenda for us to reform and modernize Georgia, to build a functioning democratic state in our part of the world," Giorgi Kvirikashvili emphasized.

The Prime Minister underscored the EU aspirations of the Georgian citizens as one of the defining factors of the country's democratic consolidation. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, in his speech, also pointed out the Eastern Partnership's potential, stating that the summit is an opportunity both to assess achievements and success and to plan further steps.

In his address, the Prime Minister also covered Georgia's implemented reforms focusing on greater progress and practical deliverables.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili informed the summit's participants of the security challenges facing the country, the state of affairs in the occupied territories, and the role of the EU in the peaceful conflict resolution.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili reaffirmed Georgia's commitment to continuing its contribution to EU security and emphasized that Georgia, despite its challenges and obstacles, does and will continue its path toward European integration.

Sean says that Kelly and Craig are the most talented players in Newfoundland—no faint praise in a country that still honors the warmth and coziness of pub culture, and the talented musicians who play in them.

The Huerteros and their families prepare and serve a vegetarian 4 course lunch using only the organic vegetables from their urban huertas. The vegetable pates, eggplant parmesan, squash risotto, and bread pudding were paired with homemade herbal teas, apple fennel juice, and a never ending supply of local red wine. More than 120 Rosarinos showed up to support the farmers, all of the proceeds going to benefit an educational trip to Mendoza, where they will get to see other Huertas and have an intercambio of sorts with the Andean farmers. The sem1-coloniallrberal1sation operates hand 1n hand w1th the semr-feudal structures of oppression rn the countrys1de. jorns To gtve th1s system of explo1tat1on a 'human face (rather human mask), thousands of NGOs are berng created w1th 1mpenahst money. Their job: to act as a SJfety valve to d·vert the anger of the people, to absolve the state of rts welfare respons1bllrt1es and to h1de ills that are endem1c to the system as JUst bad laws or bad 1nd1viduals. Significantly, each and every party in the parliament t oday stands in support of this model. The soc1o-econom1C pohcres d1d not change when the government changed from NDJI tO Ui'A. Wrth the1r support for t--lanmohan Srngh, the arch1tect of t!11s neo-colonral econom1c pohcy, and the1r hypocnt1cal 1mplementatron of hberalisat1on in Bengal and Kerala, the CPI-CPM and the1r cronies have shown which side they ure on. Towards an alternate, people-oriented develop ment: The 1'-iJOist movement stands for a model of development where people play the central role. The startrng po1nt for th1s is the overhaulmg of the rural economy that encompasses the lives of 70% of our people. The first task is to free the millions of acres of land fn 1 the clutches of sem1-feudal lrmdlords and the neo-zamrnders created by green revolution and corporate farmrng. A major focus of the naxahte movement 1s to rnrt1ate a !and reform from below on the basis of land-to-the-t1ller, se1zing land from the feudal satraps, repress1ve rel1gious 1nst1tutions, absentee landlords and corporates. They also propose that the vast wealth amassed by a mammoth bureaucracy, imperialist institutions, the big bourgeo1s1e and the big landlords should be seized and used to develop the economy, particularly agriculture. The land reforms, coupled w1th development of agriculture and allied activities would enormously expand the purchasing power of the rural poor. Thrs new market, in turn, w1ll generate local industry and employment, further increasing the purchasing power and industrialisation -leading to a spiral of real growth. In urban areas too, industrial production would be people-oriented, rather than berng onented towards luxury consumer goods. The most important thing is, this development will not only be linked to people's welfare, 1t will, rn fact, be dependent on it. .
