The typical, conventional nine-to-five work is the most stable and surefire way to earn a decent living—or is it?

Mahendra Moonstar is one of the few who dared to think differently. He abandoned the certainty of an office employment for the chance to explore Indonesia on his own two feet, one island at a time, from Sabang to Merauke.

A bold decision indeed. One that demands a considerable amount of wit, perseverance, and most importantly: commitment.

As part of our ongoing commitment to tackling neighbourhood crime and making our city centre a safer place, a number of our teams carried out proactive operations targeting crime and anti-social behaviour in the area, leading to a total of 14 arrests.

Officers from the Town Hall Neighbourhood Team carried out a mixture of late-night policing operations, with both uniformed and plain-clothed officers, across the Chinatown area. This proactive operation led to six arrests, mostly in relation to the possession and supply of drugs.

As well as these arrests, officers executed multiple stop searches across the area as part of ongoing work to keep the community safe. This involved addressing loud music being played at late hours, tackling anti-social behaviour, and disrupting drug use in the area.

Our City Centre Neighbourhood Team also conducted proactive patrols across Piccadilly Gardens, leading to two arrests in connection with drugs and public order.

Sergeant Jack Lenihan-Smith from the Town Hall Neighbourhood Team said: "The city of Manchester hosts a number of activities throughout the day and is home to such exciting nightlife experiences.

"Our priority is you, and as you enjoy the day with family or friends, it is our focus to ensure you can do so safely. From the early hours of the morning, to the late hours at night, our officers are deployed across the city centre to protect you.

"Our work doesn't stop here and we will continue to proactively patrol these areas and work with local communities to ensure we are providing the protection you need. We encourage anyone who may have questions or concerns to please approach us, we're always happy to help."

Alongside the neighbourhood teams, Project Servator were deployed in the city centre throughout the week.

Project Servator are our dedicated team aimed at disrupting a range of criminal activity, while providing a reassuring presence for the public.

Across the week, they secured six arrests, demonstrating our continuous efforts to reduce criminality across Manchester and ensure resident and visitors can have an enjoyable and safe time.

Several of those arrests were wanted individuals, who were identified by our Live Facial Recognition technology, which was deployed to Piccadilly Gardens.

Sergeant Lee Keefe said: "These arrests showcase the impact of Project Servator. We are deployed across Greater Manchester and use highly visible and unpredictable tactics to disrupt criminal activity while providing reassurance to the public.

"We all play a role in the safety of our communities, and we ask people to stay vigilant, speak to officers, and report anything that doesn’t feel right. We will always listen and act on your concerns"

Reports can be made via 101, or through the LiveChat function on our website.

You can also report anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A Commitment to Excellence. Now we know the truth to this motto penned by Al Davis. This year proves that the rest of the NFL owners are just a bunch of greedy low lives bent on sucking the blood out of fans and players.
