Please excuse the bits of swearing if you read it. It was sort of in Envy's character, so if you're under 10 or you're just against swearing, don't read it...
ALSO, Rouge's new obitsu came today and I'll post pics tomorrow since I REALLY need to do hw.
Anyways, let me know what you think, and reply to my QPF(Question of the Pic Fic, it's like the question of the day, but it relates to my most recent photo story)
SPOILER ALERT IF YOU DIDN'T READ IT!!
QPF: Why do you think Elune's mom is in Rehab?
and a bonus QPF: What do you think of Rakai's cheating on Elune with Miku?
Ben Nevis far right with its head in the clouds. This is a stunning viewpoint when the weather is clear, and a very poignant memorial to the Commandos who trained over this region during the second World War during there early days as a unit.

The unpredictable auto flash when off for this shot. Don't look up my pant leg.
I took so many photos each day during my 365 project, that I've decided to do a "365 Rewind" project by posting an out take every day that was taken one year before.
I actually bought 2 of these guys because they were half-price, and was seriously tempted to buy more because of how cool they are. NECA seriously went all out on them, which is very impressive given how little screen time they get.
Spean Bridge Commando Memorial, Spean Bridge, Scotland
The Commando Memorial is a Category A listed monument in Scotland, dedicated to the men of the original British Commando Forces raised during World War II. Situated around a mile from Spean Bridge village, it overlooks the training areas of the Commando Training Depot established in 1942 at Achnacarry Castle. Unveiled in 1952 by the Queen Mother, it has become one of Scotland's best-known monuments, both as a war memorial and as a tourist attraction offering views of Ben Nevis and Aonach Mòr.
In 1949, the sculptor Scott Sutherland won a competition open to all Scottish sculptors for the commission, The Commando Memorial. Sutherland's design won first prize of £200. The base of the bronze statue is inscribed with the date of 1951. The sculpture was cast in the H.H Martyn and Company's foundry. The memorial was officially unveiled by the Queen Mother on 27 September 1952. The monument was first designated as a listed structure on 5 October 1971, and was upgraded to a Category A listing on 15 August 1996. On 18 November 1993 a further plaque was added to mark the Freedom of Lochaber being given to the Commando Association. On 27 March 2010 a 2 miles (3.2 km) war memorial path was opened connecting two local war memorials, the Commando Memorial, and the former High Bridge built by General Wade, where the first shots were fired in the Jacobite Rising of 1745 in the Highbridge Skirmish [information: Wikipedia ]

Day fourteen ..The Commando Memorial in the Spean Bridge area making our way to Inverness, where we are staying the night.
The Commando Memorial is a Category A listed monument in Lochaber, Scotland, dedicated to the men of the original British Commando Forces raised during World War II. Situated around a mile from Spean Bridge, it overlooks the training areas of the Commando Training Depot established in 1942 at Achnacarry Castle.
The monument consists of a cast bronze sculpture of three Commandos in characteristic dress complete with cap comforter, webbing and rifle, standing atop a stone plinth. The soldier at the front is thought to depict Commando Jack Lewington who frequently attended Remembrance Services at the monument during his lifetime. One of the other two soldiers is Frank Nicholls (rank unknown) the other is alleged to be Patrick Hynan. The three Commandos are depicted looking south towards Ben Nevis. The entire monument is 17 feet (5.2 m) tall. The monument has been variously described as a huge, striking and iconic statue.
"United we conquer" is inscribed around the top of the stone plinth, while the original plaque on the stone plinth reads: "In memory of the officers and men of the commandos who died in the Second World War 1939–1945. This country was their training ground."
The location was chosen because it is on the route from Spean Bridge railway station to the former Commando Training Centre at nearby Achnacarry Castle. Arriving prospective Commandos would disembark after a 14-hour journey, load their kit bags onto waiting trucks and then speed march the 7 miles (11 km) to the training centre in full kit with weapon, weighing a total of 36 pounds (16 kg). Anyone not completing it within 60 minutes was immediately RTU'd (returned to unit).

Royal Marines from 45 Commando have deployed to Norway for WINTER DEPLOYMENT 20 (WD 20).
The Arbroath-based Royal Marine Commando Unit are being put through their paces in the harsh Arctic conditions. As 3 Cdo Bde’s mountain and cold weather warfare specialists, WD20 will ensure that the Unit is ready in all respects to operate in one of the world’s most arduous environments.
As part of Ex CETUS, training for the Unit starts with the Cold Weather Warfare Course which teaches students the skills needed to operate in an Arctic environment. The course has three phases – survival, mobility and warfare, culminating in a final exercise which puts the newly-taught skills into practice. The Unit will then begin a period of Skills to Arms training, where each sub-unit will undertake their own bespoke training package, which includes working with other Royal Marine units and a variety of NATO allies.
WD20 will conclude with Exercise COLD RESPONSE, a large, multi-national NATO exercise which will build on from the success of BALTIC PROTECTOR 19. The exercise is spread over several weeks and will see Littoral Strike and Future Commando Force playing a key part, with the 45 Cdo Battlegroup operating from a variety of different platforms alongside other NATO partners.
Commandos from NDC's rapid deployment forces are part of the reinforcements sent to the Al-Dabir region in the Middle East to support the NDC SFOR detachment already present against a rising number of insurgent attacks as of late.
This is the first ver I design. Yup, I'm a bit kinda old school that I like opened visor design. But I think I might try some different I made. Well, as you saw I made it in no-visor ver at final.

Hey Everyone!
This is my custom Commando Niner which I just finished recently. He features an Arealight Fixer Helmet (Freebie) which I painted over the Green in a Cobalt Blue. He also is holding a Clone Army Customs Commando Blaster and decals designed by someguy577 on the Customise and Builders Guild forums which I painted over in the same cobalt blue.
During the Second World War British Commandos and other specialist forces trained in the remote north-west of Scotland - an area that was completely closed off to all but locals during the war.
This memorial, located at Spean Bridge, just north of Fort William, commemorates the Commandos.
Behind and to the right is a poignant area put aside for personal tributes to individuals- most of which died in action in the years since WW2.
Royal Marines Winter Deployment 2022
hore Reconnaissance Team (SRT) from 30 Commando’s Surveillance and Reconnaissance Squadron (SRS) conducting beach surveys to and live firing during Winter Deployment 22.
SRT carried out a covert swim insertion from ship to shore utilising the Inflatable Raiding Craft (IRC) to carry out critical beach reconnaissance deep inside the Arctic Circle.
The team then conducted live break contact drills once ashore on the beaches of Ramsund. These drills enable the small teams to disengage rapidly from enemy forces and regain their covert posture. Royal Marines have deployed to Northern Norway to carry out their annual winter deployment in the Arctic Circle.
Commandos will refresh skills in surviving, moving, and fighting across the ice.
This year, Royal Navy ships will join Royal Marines for the large-scale NATO exercise Cold Response 22.
This takes place in March and April with 28 nations and a total of 35,000 troops already committed to attending the exercise.

Small teams of Royal Marines are conducting discreet Reconnaissance exercises in freezing conditions deep inside the Arctic Circle.
A small team from the Surveillance Reconnaissance Squadron of 30 Commando Information Exploitation Group landed in small inflatable boats to conduct a technical reconnaissance mission on the shores of an Arctic fjord.
The Squadron’s Shore Reconnaissance Team carried out a survey of the area, studying the surroundings to establish a beachhead for amphibious forces to crash ashore and attack enemy positions.
This essential training ensures the specialist team are razor sharp for operations, no matter how extreme the environment.
Their role is to ensure that amphibious forces are able to access coastlines, establishing the best points of access and feeding back vital information on the terrain.

A couple of Imperial Commandos I've been working on recently. 100% credit goes to Shobrick for the red-hand idea (link below). I'm going to try to upload at least 3 times a week.

Royal Marines of 40 Commando taking part in PROJECT HERMOD LIVEX.
PROJECT HERMOD was a capability demonstration to mark the Defence Integrated Review (IR).
Taking place on RFA Mounts Bay and at Bovington training area, it displayed Multi-Domain Integration (MDI) within Defence as part of a transformation programme.
Trained for rapid worldwide deployment, the troops of 40 Commando are highly skilled, adaptable, and capable of combating a wide range of threats.
The unit are at the forefront of innovation as commandos go back to their roots as raiders from the sea and embrace new technologies to help their specialised operations around the world.
Since its formation in 1942, 40 Commando has served in every major British conflict, playing a pivotal role in several notable campaigns and operations.
