Old Rope Comix

Did this whilst plastered (my leg,not my lifestyle)with a mate called Robin, around 1990.The idea was I would draw and he would sell.It was never quite that simple, and, having sold many a hundred copies of the first three issues (mostly in pubs round Eastbourne,Famous Centre of the World Underground Comic Movement),it ground to a halt with the fourth issue half completed.I'd like to put it down to artistic differencies but it was because he owed me £75 and buggered off.A bit like a Hollywood epic, but not.

I printed a rough proof of it tonight just to make sure I had everything placed. I sent it and the first issue off to the printers this evening, should be ready tomorrow night. Yay!!!

I'll be sellin' these at the West Hollywood Book Fair next weekend with some buddies from a comic book workshop some years ago, all of whom are excellent comicers who put out some killer work. Come by and say hi! Maybe give us money for comics!

I've been telling my dear friend Katie, who is not only my dear friend but a key character in this comic book, that the fair is in Claremont. That is incorrect, it is in the city of West Hollywood, hence the name West Hollywood Book Fair. My brain is the dumbest.
