both megablocks (not lego) one on right is original, then they got better designs, I think after making the halo line of megablock toys, and they extended the limbs and gave them all joints. Now the new megablocks figures are frickin awesome. Like mini GiJoes. I have hundreds now. :)

Theme Rules:
Look-alike. Clone. Spitting image. They say everyone has a twin, and the same is true in the dolly world! For this theme, you must photograph two dolls that bear a strong physical resemblance to each other. You can achieve this through identical face sculpts, similar hair styles, and/or matching outfits. How you choose to approach this theme is entirely up to you. Just be sure we think we are seeing double!
*Special note: This doppelgänger theme was a suggestion from Smitten www.flickr.com/photos/131751222@N07/. Thank you so much for this terrific theme idea!
About this photo:
"Evening Tea with a Familiar Face"
An amended version of a scene from the Star Trek/X-Men crossover novel “Planet X”…
Love it, hate it, or know nothing about it, whatever your opinion may be, wouldn’t a Picard/Xavier movie be fantastic!?! I absolutely adore Patrick Stewart, and he has said he WANTS it to happen. So, it NEEDS to happen. I would be the happiest gal in all the land. I guess this short doll encounter will have to suffice for now. Enjoy!
“Mon semblable, mon frère.” The professor thought as he telepathically reached out to his doppelganger.
The Captain suddenly appeared at the X-Mansion and raised an eyebrow. “The Wasteland, I believe.”
Xavier nodded. “It pleases me that Eliot has survived into your twenty-fourth century. Indeed, now that I think about it, it pleases me that he exists in your continuum at all.”
“He and a great many others, I am sure,” said Picard. He came forward and extended his hand. “It’s nice to see you again, Professor. I believe it was still the 20th century the last time we spoke.”
“Yes, I believe it was 1998,” Xavier replied. “Things have changed quite a bit over the years. Would you like to discuss it over a drink?”
“That sounds delightful,” Picard gleefully answered as he presented his beloved tea cup. “Tea, Earl Grey, hot.”

For "B" we chose "backless dress." You must show a doll and a backless dress somewhere in the photo. She can be wearing it, the dress could be hanging in the background, or maybe the dress is lying on the bed. Just make sure you show a backless dress (and the back of the dress, of course) in your photo.
The last day to submit is May 31st!
model: OOAK Goldstroke Adele
dress and accessories: Tess-Creations www.flickr.com/photos/tess--creations/
Theme Rules:
Can you see me? For this theme, you must create a photo in which most of your doll(s) blends in with the background through coloration or pattern. Rather than your doll being the central focus of the photo, he/she instead helps complete the photo. No need to have military fatigues on hand --- let your creativity and artistry flourish for this theme! For example, maybe the skirt of your doll's red dress fades into the red couch she is lounging on. Maybe her floral embellished hat and gown blends in with the floral wallpaper or a floral garden. The patterns and colors do not have to be an exact match, but they must be close enough so that your doll(s) gets “lost” in the photo. You may approach this theme however you like, but be sure your doll(s) blends into the surroundings.
About this photo:
So, the only thing I knew for sure about this camouflaged photo was that I wanted to use Copycat since she is a shapeshifter. Yes, I know that is not the same thing as a chameleon, but I still think it's kind of fitting. Yea? Nay? I had a hundred other ideas for this, but ultimately this dress and background matched the closest. Plus, the black with white dots is a nod to when she took on Domino's persona, and that's pretty fitting as well. ;)

For this theme we should see a clear representation of a single color. You may choose to achieve this through fashion alone (clothing, accessories, etc.), or you may choose to create an entire photo around it (fashion, furniture, backdrop, etc.). Any tint, tone, or shade of your chosen color can be used. Pops of neutral colors may also be added in the photo (hair, skin tone, accessories, etc.), but make sure to use them sparingly.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Flickr friends!
I've only seen a few end of the year collages, so I thought maybe I'd go ahead and get the ball rolling with a "My Flickr Year 2020" tag game. I've been a little MIA lately, but this is one Flickr tradition I just couldn't miss. It's always fun to see which photos end up on "top" for the year, and it also gives me a chance to revisit some of your amazing photos. Please consider yourself tagged if see this, and please feel free to tag me back! ♥

For the letter "A" we chose "alphabet" because it's quite fitting for an A-Z challenge. LOL! Get creative! You must represent letters from the alphabet, but it doesn't have to be every single letter! You can use fashion (example: a dress with alphabet letters), body art (example: a tattoo that says I ♥ U), or diorama details (example: A-Z book ends). The only rule is that there must be a doll in the photo. Everything else is up to you!

Theme Rules:
“A” is for Apple! For the introduction theme of the A-Z Challenge 3.0, show how your doll(s) uses or sees apples in his/her daily life. Does your doll maintain a healthy diet by eating lots of apples and fruit smoothies (as the saying goes, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away!”)? Perhaps your doll's favorite autumn fashion is a whimsical apple dress with a matching apple purse. Maybe he/she loves apple-print wallpaper or bedding. You can even think outside the fruit bowl with scenes of the forbidden apple in Adam & Eve or the poisonous apple in Snow White. There’s a barrel of possibilities for this theme!
About this photo:
Captain America is American as apple pie! This theme was a tough one for me. I was trying so hard to figure out how to incorporate an apple into the MARVEL universe. Once I thought of apple pie, this concept seemed too funny to pass up.
P.S. I got it to look like he's slightly grinning. No one will probably notice it, but it makes me giggle. xD

The theme for the 8th round is: From Head to Toe
Show us your doll(s) in a full body color look. Your doll(s) have to wear one color (this can be in different shades) from head to toe. I want to see a full body photo this time.

Rules:
For this theme we should see a clear directional change in the intensity or color within your image. You can use a rainbow effect like the example photo above, or you may choose to use one color that begins light and gradually grows darker across the photo. The only requirements for this theme are that there must be a doll in the photo, and we must be able to see the gradual change of color and/or hue. This can be accomplished through color effect or through fashion. The photo can be a portrait or full body, and all other details are entirely up to you.
The last day to submit is July 31st!
Gradient is shown through the change in color of the smoke, the change of hue in her hair, and a change in the intensity of blue from the top of the photo to the bottom of the photo.

This game is simple - show us your favorite backdrop or "spot" for taking photos, if you have one. Don't forget to tell us why it's your fave!
About this photo:
It's no secret I love X-MEN, so it's probably not surprising that my favorite backdrop would be something X-MEN related. My love for this X-Mansion subbasement backdrop is further ignited by the fact that it was custom made for me and my sisters. Of course, now you can find duplicates of it from the seller on eBay, but the original was created for me. :)

X-MEN Revelations Gift Set: Psylocke & Revanche
(Limited Edition 1:1)
My sister demanded I post this outtake photo from my A-Z Doll Photography Challenge "Not Sold in Stores" photoshoot. I tried to argue, but she played the nostalgia card and won the argument. I remember us reading this particular comic at our grandma's house. We were so young! Oh my, we were so confused by and completely enamored with the Psylocke/ Revanche story. As kids we would've LOVED this set, and as adults we still do. ;)
Just a quick HELLO to the very talented and amazing Meg!! I know it's been a long time since we've created these fantastic outfits. We still cherish them!! Thank you!! *hugs*
Theme Rules:
Let’s travel back to the future and revisit the outrageous, eccentric decade of the 1980s. From iconic to over-the-top, the ‘80s was one of the most influential decades in fashion, pop culture, and even politics. You can approach this theme from any perspective you can think of: No idea, shoulder pad or hairstyle is too big! Your doll could pay tribute to one of her favorite style or music icons of the '80s as seen on a teen magazine or music cassette cover. She could be a mallrat, shopping for a punk leather jacket and lace gloves. Is your doll getting physical by sporting leotards and leg warmers like video workout queen/actress Jane Fonda, or is he about to cut footloose a la Kevin Bacon at an '80s themed costume party? From your doll sitting in a room with Duran Duran and Princess Diana posters on the wall, to riding in a sleek, "talking" Pontiac Trans AM, let your imagination go as wild as the decade!
About this photo:
Rogue is wearing a graphic tee of The Uncanny X-Men Vol 1 #171 comic book cover which was published in 1983. This is when we see Rogue officially become a member of the X-MEN team. I know this isn't an overly outrageous '80s photo, but her hair does look a little big. xD

Theme Rules:
Have you ever wished you had an opportunity to redo something? Well, here’s your chance! For the final theme of the A-Z 3.0 cycle, you may choose to create a new photo for any previous theme from this cycle. Whether you weren’t satisfied with your original photo entry, you didn’t have time to play a particular theme, or if you have more ideas for one theme you already played, this is an opportunity to create a photo that is second to none!
Need a refresher of all the themes we've done so far this cycle? You can visit the discussion posts for our group, where we've posted all the collages and blurbs for this third cycle: www.flickr.com/groups/2962397@N20/discuss/
About this photo:
Black Cat is spending a lazy Sunday with her fur baby. I originally planned to submit this as a redo photo for the "L - Long Legs" theme, but I wasn't totally in love with it. After I rotated it, though, it totally created something different! So, this photo could be considered a redo for "U - Upside Down" as well.
L - Long Legs
Your dolls have legs for days, so let's show them off! From thigh-high boots to slit dresses, show how your doll's style accentuates those sexy gams. You don't have to focus just on your doll, though: maybe inside your doll’s home is where we’ll find those long legs and limbs. From extra tall side tables to flamingo-themed bathrooms, objects in your doll's world can be the focus, too. How you approach this theme is entirely up to you. Just be sure to show us those long legs!
U - Upside Down
Get ready to turn the dolly world on its head. Literally! For this theme there must be at least one upside down object in your photo. Perhaps overturned chairs and ketchup bottles are sitting atop tables at a closed restaurant, or maybe your doll is an aerial dancer or gymnast spinning in the air. You can also let your creativity float through the looking glass with gravity-defying dioramas with furniture on the ceiling. From everyday head-over-heels lounging to extravagant fashion photoshoots with inverted mirror images, there are countless ways to include upside down objects. Whatever you do, get ready for a roller coaster of a topsy-turvy theme!

It's so bittersweet to be posting this final photo for this A-Z cycle as I feel both excited and sad for the challenge to end. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to see and comment on my photos this cycle. You encourage me more than you know! ❤
Thank you to every member and participant of the A-Z group for continuing to inspire and encourage the Flickr dolly community. It’s been a long wonderful journey this cycle, and we hope you enjoyed playing as much as we have enjoyed being your moderators.
Sincerely,
Audra (MARVEL_DOLLS) & Leslie (Bogostick)
