This truck was illegally parked and apparently abandoned for four days at the local high school afterr a F2 tornado ripped through our neighborhood. Power was restored yesterday but Comcast has still not restored internet service.

Nationwide, Comcast employees walked out of their offices for an hour to protest President Trump's immigration orders. Sunnyvale's office, and contingent, is small, but joined in with about 2000 other employees nationwide.

There I was, minding my own business, going to work and paying bills. I worked all day Saturday and stopped by my apartment around 5pm or so to grab a bite before heading back out for 2 more service calls. I saw the Comcast guys near my stuff but didn't think too much about it. I came home after 9pm and found I had no internet connection. I did the usual thing, rebooted my computer, reset my modem and router and still no net.

Then I remembered the Comcast guys and went out to look at the cable that runs up the wall to my apartment. Sure enough those Bozos had been monkeying with my connection. No wonder my internet wasn't working. It's looks like they messed up my dedicated internet line trying get cable TV to my downstairs neighbor. Take a look at the shoddy workmanship. Surely these butchers had no knowledge of the Force or even their own jobs for that matter.

I went inside and called Comcast. After going through the phone maze of pressing 1 and pressing 2 and did you check this and did you check that, I finally spoke with a person. After some more questions and back and forth I articulated to the man on the other end of the phone exactly what happened and asked him to send the guys back to undo what they did to my connection. He understood and starts to tell me what times are available for a service call. All the times he listed were when I'm supposed to be at work. I explained this is no good. I'm not taking time off work to be home for these guys come out and fix their mistakes. He explains to me that if no one is home, they won't come out.

I have an appointment for next Saturday.. My internet will down for the next week.
