Norfolk Southern has recently debuted their "no-contact delivery". That is to say, I don't have to leave the confines of home to see neat motive consists.
Here the Lehigh Valley "heritage" engine leads the Nickel Plate Road "heritage" engine on an empty coal-bucket train at 4:30 AM in my backyard.

After meeting with a friend after work, I stopped in at Ka Wor Yuen BBQ, conveniently located right next to where we were. I picked up some dinner to take home and lunch for the next day.
For dinner, I got a combo of Roast Pork and Soya Chicken. It included rice, vegetables, and soup for under CDN$8.00. Good deal!
This was good food at great prices!

In search of a good, inexpensive, and flavourful lunch on a rainy day, I ended up at New Sun BBQ, located in a tiny food court in Scarborough. They offer a choice of one meat with rice, vegetables, and soup for only CDN$5.00. I had the roast pork.
It was all very tasty, even the soup. The pork was tender and moist. Very good!
This plaza, at Midland and McNicoll in Scarborough is the best place I've found for good cheap meals, with three Chinese BBQ shops, all offering combo meals for only $6.00 (with two meats). Check them out!

Ahhh, comfort food! Ho Ho BBQ never disappoints with their flavours and tremendous value! This Steamed Chicken with BBQ Pork combo was satisfyingly delicious and it cost only CDN $7.00 with Soup!!!

Slow roasted pulled pork with a healthy serving of sweet and tangy guava BBQ sauce, served on a 4” toasted bun. Combo meal shown here with a side of Sweet Plantains, and a soft drink.

This food is good! I had a combo meal with BBQ Pork and Roast Pork with rice. It included vegetables and a bowl of soup for only $6.00. I also got a sweet and sour pork for $6.00. Great Deals!
Now that's out of the way, this was my second time going to Kong Kee BBQ. The food was also good on my previous visit but the service left a lot to be desired. I decided to give them another try anyway. Same issue. The woman behind the counter is just not very friendly, not very inviting. I didn't feel comfortable.
With two other BBQ shops within steps, and offering very similar food, I doubt I'll be back.

When it comes to Chinese BBQ, there are very few places better than Ho Ho BBQ in Scarborough. Their food is always so delicious and very affordable. My favourite combo of BBQ Duck and Roast Pork with rice is only CDN$6.00, including soup!

I'm back at the food court of First Markham Place, this time with a friend that I just picked up from the airport and we were hungry. Our choices were a bit limited, with a few stalls closed (on a Tuesday), but we settled on Extra BBQ House.
We ordered a BBQ Pork and Chicken combo and a BBQ Duck and Roast Pork combo. Everything was delicious, as expected. It was also generous servings and we took home leftovers. Yummy!

Whenever I find myself at First Markham Place, I usually dine in the food court, where they have some of my favourite Chinese BBQ. This time, however, I noticed a couple of new vendors and decided to give one of them a try - Lunch Box.
Their food, displayed in a steam table, all looked good. Their prices looked great! A combo with three items, plus rice, was only CDN$10.99. Surprisingly, it also included vegetables and soup. I ended up choosing two kinds of pork, and chicken.
Everything tasted really good, with rich flavours. The portions were so generous, I ended up taking half of it home for dinner! This was really good food! I'll have to try their other dishes next time.
Vendors will not survive in this food court if their food isn't good. The choices just became tougher. Eenie, meenie, miney, moe...

Ho Ho BBQ in Scarborough remains at the top of my list for Chinese BBQ! Besides their great flavours and quality cuts of meat, it's next to impossible to beat the value! Where else can you get two kinds of meat with rice, veggies, and soup for only $6.00??? It's not only inexpensive but tastes great! And the portions are quite generous! They also have other favourites, like char siu, soy chicken, and more.
