Thanks to the Fansproject Crossfire 02 sets, the Combaticons get some updated members as well as a slew of armaments.
Classic looking Swindle and Blast Off take the place of the original cloned molds with more show accurate designs.
The number of new weapons on Onslaught borders on rediculous with all of the stuff he can now carry.
L-R: Blast Off (Explorer), Swindle (Munitioner), Onslaught, Brawl, and Vortex.

Onslaught now transforms into something more attune to his classic anti-aircraft truck. He can also transport Blast Off's drone mode on his trailer.

Part of the 2 piece Fansproject Crossfire 02 sets, here is Swindle in his robot mode.
Officially called Munitioner on the box, he is a replacement member / limb for the Classics Bruticus set. Instead of being a copy of the helicoper toy, this toy homages the classic yellow jeep.
His poseability is quite amazing, and fits in well with the other Combaticons.
His portion of the set (Crossfire 02 - XF-02B - Munitioner) comes with tons of transformable weapons and parts for the other team members.
I have been building transformers lego models for two decades now, constantly growing my collection, there were always one thing left do figure out.
How to build a combiner ?
We all know the limitations through weight on our models versus what we would want from certain bricks and their clutchpowers.
Bruticus and the combaticons were on my wishlist for a long time, so i have been working on those models over the past months, first working out each individual character and then the combine mode.
It needs still a support stand, which also serves as display stand, just to keep the weight up, he is very heavy, standing tall around 60cm.
Instructions available soon.

On my model wishlist of brickbuild TRANSFORMERS the top positions
have been filled with models like this forever.
Allthough the perfection would be to have all 5 COMBATICONS
transformable individually, i am pretty happy with the results
on BRUTICUS.
ONSLAUGHT is the only one which transforms from vehicle to robot mode.
The others are only in vehicle mode.
The concept and idea came from the Devestator model i built a couple of years ago:
orionpax.de/23/index.php/showroom/one/341/Decepticon-Tran...
I used KRE-O on this model because of the military colors and the solid
balljoints.
The headpiece for Bruticus is the original G1 headmold.

With repairs on the living city's transformation cog not yet complete. Fortress Maximus lays vulnerable. Can Optimus Prime and his Autobots respond in time to defend the city against the power of the Combiners?
Here is a re-edit of an old photo. I am hoping to redo a number of these, particularly while my camera is on the fritz.

Well, what do we have here?
Long story short, I got some Kre-o Transformers Micro Changers. Some of the parts are pretty compatible with Lego elements, so I combined them to make microscale vehicles. Being a huge Transformers fan myself, I decided to go the extra mile and create a Transformer (specifically a combiner) using both Kre-o and Lego parts. Flame me all you want, but I like some of the Kre-o elements.
I made Bruticus, the Decepticon combined form of an elite squad called Combaticons. Each Combaticon vehicle (minus Onslaught) is present on the right in their respective vehicle forms. I made Vortex as a chopper/left arm cannon, Blast Off as a jet/right arm claw, Swindle as an ATV/right leg, and Brawl as a tank/left leg. I wasn't able to make Onslaught to be compatible as the torso for Bruticus.
I made these Combaticons so that they can be a part of Bruticus without taking them apart.* What fun is there when you have to reassemble their vehicle mode to an alternate form?
*For Brawl I had to reattach his tank cannon to form the leg
For more info about Bruticus himself, check this: tfwiki.net/wiki/Bruticus_%28G1%29
Hey guys! Here is Swindle, not much to say. He turns into an SUV, and is pretty dang cool, YO. Sorry for any blurry shots, I got a new camera and it is insanely difficult to use. Swindle is the weapons specialist of the combiner team, the Combaticons. Now before you speculate that I am building Bruticus, I AM NOT BUILDING BRUTICUS. So there, problem solved. Though I am building a custom combiner built of a team I have named THE AFRICONS, a group of beast transformers.
Here's a commissioned piece. The client originally wanted something earlier, but because I was/am backed up, he changed his project to this guy. The goal was to make Jetwing Prime as accurate as possible to the character in Dark of the Moon. Because the online images were so limited, I caved in and bought the blu ray for reference. The project began as both a Jetwing Prime figure, and DMK model kit. Parts from each were switched and swapped all over, so that he's got a convincing look to him, as well stability in the right places (his jet-pack, guns and other add-ons are quite heavy and the DMK joints could not have held him up) The toughest part of this project was getting Prime (mainly his legs) to support this jet pack. The jet pack pivots outward, has 2 LEDs in the main thrusters. The thrusters were also completely redone, flamed, pin-striped, etc. The large wings were cut and beveled (like in movie) These also pivot inward/outward and up and down. the smaller wings are mounted to the large thrusters, and pivot and swivel. Tons of custom colors, mainly house of kolors, but even some acrylics (that blue is a PITA to get right otherwise), bunch of alclad chrome and other paints. There are also TWO LED lights in Prime's head. All the LEDs go to the same (accessible) battery pack and on/off switch located within the jet pack. Also, scratch built the "connectors" which go from Prime's forearms to the jet pack/wings.
This is a commissioned project; Ultimate Bumblebee (Dark of the Moon) While he is non-transforming, he's got tons of articulation and LED work; Cannon, Headlights, and eyes (x2) Each LED goes to it's own independent power source and on/off switch which are all neatly organized and easily accessible (to replace batteries) Also articulated Bee's left hand (on ball joint with finger and thumb articulation) Added new deco to his legs and back, fixed feet so that they sit flat footed in dynamic poses.
This commissioned non-transforming Generation One Devastator stands over a towering 15 inches tall! Built using the typical components, the Constructicons have been fused together, but given improved articulation. Head is on a ball joint, shoulders allow more posability, lower arm swivel, hands articulated, elbows, hips, waist, knees, lower legs swivel, foot pivot (Scrapper leg) and Mixmaster foot rotates and pivots at the heel. Heels add extra support for cooler more dynamic poses. Added lots of light battle damage and 3D dirt, mud and rust; the way Devastator should be! Painted a custom blend of paints the neon green is accurate to the original Generation 1 Constructicon toys.
This is a completed VERY old commission for one of my most understanding and patient customers to date. This is one of the LAST Devastators to ever leave my shop.
I made several improvements to Devastator this round. Starting at the top, the shoulders/arns require NO extra parts to mount to the torso. Hook (upper torso) snaps into combined mode via specially designed custom parts via Shapeways. His cement barrel now clips into a peg/hole system. Devastator's also got a nice custom gun and the all important waist articulation. Devastator stands 15" tall, and has articulation: head (ball joint) full shoulder movement (ratcheting) elbows, forearms (swivel), hands (each finger w/ 2 point of articulation, waist, hip (ratchet) knee, swiveling lower leg, and some articulation in the feet (mixmaster's got double jointed heel for example)
This commissioned piece goes to a long time friend way down in the south. Combaticon Onslaught does not transform, but he's loaded with masterpiece articulation and details. He was created using parts about 126 different figures. His visor has a bright red LED light, with controls on the back. Onslaught is a massive 12 inches tall (to head top) I enjoyed this project, client gave me creative liberties to go with a modern approach.
They're coming.
Tried a couple of things with this one, like putting texture over existing props. Weapon effects based on Chaos Unit 178's tutorial.
This commissioned piece is for the same cool guy who commissioned Ironhide. Suiting that these best of buddies be displayed together ;)
Sentinel is non-transforming, but has added articulation; including adjustable wings on his back (from V. SP) fakebuster's awesome articulated hands (via shapeways) head on ball joint, and loads more. I replaced the stock LED with a super bright 3mm blue LED which goes to a switch and power pack on Sentinel's back. His shield and gun clip into a custom 5mm post (via shapeways) also on his back.
Custom rebuilt chest with clear windows. Added custom hoses, attachments, wires, the works. Also built Sentinel his custom "Cosmic Rust Gun" inspired and based on Nizzi's concept work (seen here : images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110707141721/transformer...)

I thought the first Crossfire appendage kit for Universe Superion was awesome. These new kits for Universe Bruticus blows it away!

This Generation 1 themed Arcee (and Jack Darby) is part of the New York Comic Con exclusive 2 part set "First Edition" human alliance set package. What?
So, another repaint from TF:Prime (amazing figures from this line, can't wait for more) I went to town matching the original pink, then adding lots more color and detail to Arcee. Clear coated her with prismatic gloss clear coat, giving her a metallic shine. I wanted the extent of the customizing to remain subtle, and true to the original exclusive set.
ANOTHER re-edit (are you bored of these things yet???) of an old shot: www.flickr.com/photos/44212086@N04/4062144706/in/photostream . I'll admit that I am really happy with how this one turned out. Evening out 'monitor'shots is sorta difficult with the way that I used to shoot them. I think this turned out ok.
Perhaps I should do some actual work at my job now.
