Working with an original piece of artwork seen in a hospital corridor, I post processed and created this colourful collage of images and colours.

…… If you haven’t already guessed this is a CD placed on top of a steel rule showing incremental MM to the right of the line, the entire black circle measures 45mm or 1.77 inches if you prefer. I shone a warm white LED light at the CD to get the refracted colourful effect, a technique I’ve been looking to do for ages - the CD is plain Silver. See first comment box to see the set-up used to take the shot, (and info on the CD used). HMM everyone, this is ‘My Closest’ for Macro Monday's theme this week. Alan:-)……..

Shot late morning on the way to get a rather tasty fish and chip lunch at "Simply Fish" on the harbour side.
Had to take a picture as we were passing.
We bought a desk from Heal's about thirty years ago and it is still going strong. It has survived three house moves and I'm using it right now.
As the old saying goes: "Buy cheap, buy twice"..

In Aguas Calientes the hillsides are steep and the railway line runs along the bottom of the valley, which also happens to be a commercial district. I was surprised (although I don't know why) to see a mixed train standing in the street while men swarmed around unloading the freight cars. Prepare to see the unexpected in colourful Peru, you'll not be disappointed.
The nets themselves are in fact not coloured. The vibrant colours come from so-called “vispluis” (Dutch word). Vispluis, only used in Holland and Belgium, (translation: +/- fishing fluff) is the name used for the orange, green or blue plastic threads that are placed in bunches under bottom fishing nets. The bunches of plastic threads act as a buffer between the bottom and the net, protecting the net from wear.
Photo taken in Ostend, Belgium.
