IR Colloseum taken with converted Nikon D80

The Roman Colloseum. Originally, the entrance to the Colloseum was adorned with a giant statue or "Collosus". The statue was melted down for its component metals (like the Collosus of Rhodes), but the name "Colloseum" has remained ever since.

The Arena in Pula, Croatia is one of seven left in the world today. Not as big as the one in Rome but still absolutely impressive.

Previous use was torturing prisoners with hungry lions and stuff for entertainment but now home to passing tourists and the odd classical concert.

Unfortunately had substantial scaffolding on a large section so limited photo opps!

PS I love Croatia, Croatia rules. Everytime I go to Croatia I always have a good time.
