Construida en el año 1684, es bastante austera y sobria en su interior. Sin embargo, su exterior es la imagen internacional de Collioure, pues su campanario o torre fue el antiguo faro que daba entrada a los barcos en su puerto, en su interior, el retablo del altar mayor es obra del artista catalán José Sunyer.

El Castillo Real de Colliure es uno de los monumentos más importantes de Colliure junto con la iglesia Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles. Está catalogado como "monumento nacional" en Francia.
La primera documentación del castillo es del año 673, lo que evidencia la situación estratégica del lugar donde se encuentra.
La historia se vive tras las murallas de este castillo que se comenzó a levantarse en época romana cuando la ciudad se convirtió en un pueblo fortificado. Años después, en el 673, Wamba, el rey de los visigodos, lo conquistó, y trás por allí árabes y normandos , pasó a manos de los Condes de Rosellón. Trás pasar a Argón, la Coroña de España y finalmente a Francia por el mencionado Tratado de los Pirineos, el castillo estuvo bajo gobierno militar hasta el año 1945. Finalmente , en el año 1951, se vendió al Consejo General de los Pirineos Orientales , abriéndose así al público.

Fort San Telmo is a military fort built between 1538 and 1552 under Charles I from a tower founded in the eighth century by the Moors. It is located in the municipality of Colliure, 30km southeast of Perpignan in the department of the eastern Pyrenees. Historical monument of the Costa Bermeja, the fort is since 2008 a museum with collections of medieval and Renaissance weapons, temporary exhibitions and a panorama of the region on the terrace.
