The small romanesque church of Sant Climent de Coll de Nargó has a very beautiful and unusual bell-tower. This tower in fact it's older than the church, being pre-romanesque and possibly built in the X Century. The upper part of the tower it's romanesque.

Sortint de l’actual nucli de Coll de Nargó es troba l’esglèsia de Sant Climent que tot indica havia estat el centre neuràlgic de l’antiga població, no se sap ben bé quan fa d’aixó però. L’esgésia fou declarada Monument Nacional Històric Artístic per decret el dia 5 d’abril de 1946, després que l’arquitecte Josep Puig i Cadafalch, erudit i gran amant de l’art romànic (en aquest sentit cal recordar que gràcies a la seva intervenció es van aconseguir salvar els frescos de les esglésies de la Vall de Boí, recentment declarades Patrimoni de la Humanitat per la UNESCO) en fes un acurat estudi. Ens trobem sens dubte davant d’una de les esglésies de romànic primitiu més boniques de Catalunya, amb un campanar únic en el seu gènere.
L’església parroquial de l’antiga “Vila Nargone”, indret conegut avui com “Les Viles” i on hi ha la “Font de Sant Climent”, fou objecte l’any 1929 d’una restauració a càrrec dels “Amics de l’art vell”. Un curiós document de l’època, sotasignat pel secretari César Martinell, qui va actuar en qualitat d’arquitecte, diu així: “Les obres de restauració trobaren l’estímul i ajut material de la Diputació de Lleida, que contribuí amb 1.000 pessetes, i el poble de Coll de Nargó que ho va fer amb la quantitat de 392,50 pessetes, procedents de
subscripció voluntària entre els veïns”. Cal dir que per la seva banda els “Amics de l’art vell” aportaren 7.719,60 pessetes. Aquestes xifres donen fe per elles mateixes de com han canviat els temps; ara servirien gairebé per a què el paleta fes un cop d’ull a l’edificació i poc més.
Durant la guerra civil espanyola, San Climent va servir de polvorí a l’exèrcit de la República, fou bombardejada en diferents ocasions i encara que moltes bombes caigueren a pocs metres de l’església, no tingué desperfectes.
Aprofitant la bona sonoritat del recinte s’hi ha fet fins i tot concerts, com el que va tenir lloc l’11 d’octubre de l’any 1987 amb la mezzo-soprano Anna Ricci, acompanyada de Jordi Russinyol, que oferiren un recital de Trobadors Provençals, cançons hebraiques i sefardites.
Sant Climent és en si un monument força ben conservat, originari del segle X o potser de principis del XI, sobretot la seva torre campanar que va ser construïda en dues fases, la primera d’elles en època preromànica. Pràcticament l’església es fa visible des de qualsevol lloc del poble i és, no ho dubteu, de visita obligada alhora que lògic orgull dels “nargonins”.
L'anomenat castell o masia de Pujol es troba a prop de Coll de Nargó, però a l'altra riba del Segre, en un petit turonet o, precisament, pujol. Sembla ser d'origens altmedievals, tot i que no s'en coneixen moltes dades.

The castle or manor of Pujol stands up in a hill (a "pujol" in Catalan) above the river Segre and in front of the village of Coll de Nargó. It's apparently a medieval fortified manor, but there's not much information about it.

Coll de Nargó is a municipality in the comarca of the Alt Urgell in Catalonia. It is situated in the Segre valley by the Oliana reservoir. The municipality is served by the C-14 road between Ponts and La Seu d'Urgell, the L-511 road to Isona and the L-401 road to Sant Llorenç de Morunys. The Romanesque church of Sant Climent dates from the eleventh century, and has a rectangular pre-Romanesque bell-tower.

Coll de Nargó és un municipi de la comarca de l'Alt Urgell. Situat a la dreta del riu Segre i al costat del pantà d'Oliana, passen pel seu terme també els rius de Perles i Sallent.
El terme està documentat des de l'any 988 i el poble de Nargó el 1076. Pertanyia al comtat d'Urgell. El 1097 el comte Ermengol V d'Urgell, va donar a Guitard, senyor de Caboet, els castells i viles del lloc anomenat Nargó. Des de 1278 la jurisdicció del lloc va passar completament als vescomtes de Castellbò gràcies a la renúncia per part del bisbat d'Urgell dels drets que posseïen sobre aquestes terres. (Viquipèdia)

The municipality is served by the C-14 road between Ponts and La Seu d'Urgell, the L-511 road to Isona and the L-401 road to Sant Llorenç de Morunys. The Romanesque church of Sant Climent dates from the eleventh century, and has a rectangular pre-Romanesque bell-tower.

Va ser la sortida de la qual us parlava l’altre dia al pantà. Li vaig comentar al @mikelo_photo si coneixia aquest lloc ( de fet ja tinc aquesta foto publicada fa temps, però era a la tardor, amb una llum diferent i molta menys aigua, també surt al calendari de la Mancomunitat de Seu d’Urgell d’aquest any ) i en dir-me que no el coneixia, el vaig portar a aquest “mirador”, de fet, el mirador queda a un altre costat i el punt de vista no és tan interessant, des d’aquest troc de camí i enfilant-se una mica arribes al lloc del qual es té aquest punt de vista, molt interessant al meu gust. M’agrada la U de l’aigua amb aquesta llengua de terra que et porta fins a la casa que hi ha i les muntanyes del fons amb aquesta llum que es filtra entre els núvols.

La idea era anar al Pantà d’Oliana, la previsió de temps era núvol, així que tampoc calia estar just per la sortida de sol, així i tot vam matinar. Inicialment, volia accedir per Coll de Nargó, però un cop allà, amb tanta aigua que hi ha, no es podia accedir al lloc que coneixia, així que amb el Miquel vam decidir anar sortint del poble a un altre lloc que coneixíem, però va ser el mateix. Vaig proposar doncs anar més cap al mig a un altre lloc que coneixia, però no es podia travessar la carretera així que ens va tocar arribar quasi a Oliana per poder girar i just pujant per la presa vaig veure que el sol sortia una mica així que vaig parar justa lla a la presa ja amb la foto al cap, la mica de muntanya amb aquesta forma ( la cresta del drac, tinc una foto amb el dron aquí, ja publicada fa temps, on la muntanya sembla un drac ) i el sol superpotent just a la vora. Vaig aconseguir el que tenia al cap i és aquesta foto.
