DAYS OF GRAY (Version #2)
Lay down mother, lay down
Sing out your heaven’s
Prayers of May
The prayers of May
Let your sorrow be gone
All I ever tried to be
Was a way to let you see
That I’ve been a good boy now
Let me know
That you’re so proud
Gonna cry out… loud
This is a collage I did to illustrate the song DAYS OF GRAY included in the album TALISMANIA by Javier Monforte & Cybil DUrango.
As there were doubts as to whether the first version I did was the right one to represent the spirit of this song, I opted for this variant in which I removed the nudity and the coffin because I found it to be just as visually powerful.
The album can be heard in its entirety on the main digital platforms: Spotify, Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon, etc.

this collage is the first of many to be produced in my new temporary home! located on the western slope of Colorado, USA!
woooo! finished on the 28th of October at 28 years old and 28 weeks pregnant heheheeeee
This collage was made on a poster of a frog from an old National Geographic magazine. This is just one of my favorite close up bits of the creepy dog saint hehehe... the full collage is 2 feet wide by 3 feet tall! wow! But fold it up and you get 6 individual collages as well! Yeehaw!
this collage was made in Paso Robles CA while I was living in a trailer in my parent's driveway. I lived in that trailer for a little over a year and made probably 20 collages during that time. What a year! It was a huge year of loneliness yet self discovery and so much freaking learning. ENJOY

this is the first collage I ever made. in 2009. I was 16. I used elmer's thick goopy white glue and images from national geographic magazines. This is probably the only collage I've made that has visible tear marks. I remember making this collage on the floor in my living room with my older sister and possible younger brother. It was a weird time. I had just spent 2 or 3 weeks in a state hospital in Ventura and I was in a fragile state. I remember my family was all sensitive and gentle towards me during that time. WEIRD!

What do this cheetah, a coyote pup and a grandfather clock have in common? They are all paper! This collage was exceptionally simple compared to my other works, but no less meaningful and wonderful to look at :_D
